Well Yes I think there would be tons of people trading in the 05's for an 08 C/S's but I guess with all parts available it could be done now ?

They should, but I doubt it. It's meant to sell the GT model. The V-6 has its own Pony Package.

I don't think the Cal Special should be offered in both a V6 and V8. This new edition needs a unique name.

They need to get rid of the window rain guard things. Those belong on trucks not Mustangs.

I like the wheels though.

V6/CS hah! that would be funny to see. I own a V6 Pony and don't see the need for it. The CS package should stay with the GT.

I'd rather see a V6 Sprint or V6 High Country Special edition.

BTW, that photo is from the Mustang accessory booklet.

I still see plenty of non-Pony package V6's sold (don't know why, guess it's a money thing). I agree that the CS package should remain a GT thing but I do think they could refresh the Pony Package and change the name. Different wheels, would be a plus (as the bullits are getting way over used) maybe not lemans stripes but a single center stripe, hood scoop, possibly some simple interior additions. Also add a front and rear sway bar, ABS standard w/ the package, possibly new tires(the ones shown are nice) and call it the Sprint package.

A V6 just may not have the power to out run all those girlys at the beach like the original commercial. GT power at least and kept unique.

The Sprint is associated with the 67/68 Firebird. Funny enough the first 67 I had was a Sprint and I gutted and threw out the OHC 230/215hp I-6 which is now a highly coveted engine. It was intended to be the 'euro' car of its day with light weight, good handling, and high tech engine, and are very, very rare.

The Mustang Sprint is probably a model that is best not revived.

The GT/Cs should remain in the Gt family hense the GT in the GT/CS. Like it was meant to be. They could do other things to the V6 Stangs....

I agree the sprint edition but you have the pony package. You need to be careful not to pollute with too many tape and stripe jobs at one time.
You end up looking like the 80s then. All show and no go.

I think the GT/CS should have had the hood scoop only as std and maybe the Ford Racing Handling package as well.

I agree with it not being a cali special but I really don't ever thing the CS was meant to be a GT the original wasn't a GT it was a CS. The V6 would be cool having a Grande version but hey that was a V8 too.
