This is by no means true at all.

Both have the same basic engine.

Spend your money the way you want. I just hope and pray you never roll over in a glass-roofed car.

Cool a "SPECIAL" like the GT500 ???

Whether it becomes "special" as you say above is irrelevant at the final moment of the sale.

Dealers can try all they want to justify whatever they think they can but if these things don't sell then the dealers are the ones hurting more than the potential buyers.

I think they are going to learn that by not offering the right package and additional performance options to enhance a "special edition" and make it more attractive to a larger market segment of buyers then they are not going to reap the profits they may have originally envisioned.

Why?

Do you know any details on the installed glass roof with respect to strength and durability and its crash results.

Maybe I do and maybe I don't, but ... If it came down to safety experimentation would you want to be the first to find out?

Call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure it has to pass safety regulations and be safe to put on the car....

Besides, the roof structure distributes its weight over the frame, which isn't changing, only the panel inbetween. If anything I could see it being reinforced safety glass, which would either support the weight of the vehicle or just shatter into tiny pieces no different than a windshield.

I'd have no problem driving it.
Heck even the vert is more dangerous and its got a great rollover rating

I understand your enthusiasm. Yes; probably the only sweet ride out there with such an option.

I don't think yall want me to go in to the details on your website as to why I caution against this (very graphic details) but my caution is indeed sincere; what I've seen before I really hope I don't see anyone else ever suffer.

I love ragtops, but won't own one without a functional roll bar. Maybe if you put such a roll bar in a glass top it would be safer ... (???)

Again ... without going in to further details, I just hope that whoever does buy one is SAFE ... and I hope they are always able to enjoy it and they never regret their decision to buy one. I'll leave it at that.

I can understand a vert without a rollbar...absolutely

But this glass roof is a coupe with a metal panel being replaced with glass.
The roll protection of the frame is still intact.
If something is going to go through the roof, at that force... glass or metal won't matter

What would scare the crap out of me more is if a bird takes a big dump on the glass roof while I'm driving....
