X-plan not available on the 2007 Shelby GT :(

Hello Mustang Community,

Today is the last day of the Labor Day sales event and I decided to pass on the 0% financing in anticipation of ordering a 2007 Shelby GT. I have an X-plan number and was considering the 07 GT/CS but now I am leaning towards the Shelby GT.

Will the Shelby GT be available with the X-plan? If so, I solicit NC dealers to PM me with details.

Thanks again.

I hope so too (also have X-Plan), but I seriously doubt it.

Probably not initially, but after a while when the price settles down it should be doable. I imagine there will be a buying frenzy at first along with the associated dealer markups.

My dealership told me the 0% offer is available on it, however they were not honoring any special pricing on it and wanted 69k for one. I told him I will wait for the boss to come out.

Are you sure he knew you were talking about the Shelby GT. If so, then .

Yep, he specifically offered it to me when I inquired on the Boss. He is supposed to get back to me on pre-orders for the Boss which will probably be over a year.

Mark up on stangs in my area has always been rough on the S197's, even the sixes.

69 K for a Shelby GT or a Shelby GT500?

One way or another again that is nuts... That's $10,000 more than the asking price of some of my local dealers... if you want my feels on this I think the dealers are asking out of this world money on the GT500 just to make you go away - because their just is not enough cars to go around... and if you're rich enough to say ok then they would move heaven on earth to get you a car. As they laughed themselfs silly over anyone willing to pay that much for a Mustang (thanks for help pay for Jr, first year at college mister)... Some day when supply catches up with demand it WILL be a different story...We will be laughing at them as we demand below list price ...Just hang in their some day you will get your dream car at a lower price ... I bought a new Mach 1 in 2003 and had a rough time getting it... When 2004 Mach 1s came out I stopped off at a dealership that had 3 - 2004 Mach 1s sitting on his lot side by side... The dealer came out so fast to talk to me about the 3 Mach 1s on his lot - I thought he was traveling at speeds approaching the speed of sound, in my face that quick - can we work a deal? Remember one year later old news...

Same thing will happen to the Shelby GT500 and the Shelby GT or you'll see them USED in a few years on the Ford dealers lots looking fairly dated compared to the BRAND NEW 2010 Ford Mustang XYZ model (man is that a hot car - I hear it can HOVER at speeds near 300 mph - but only in silver with the gull winged/ time machine optional extra)...Hmmm I think I seen that car in the movies....

Today's I MUST HAVE THIS CAR (Shelby GT500 or Shelby GT) - will be tomorrows old news - how much for a trade in for the 2010 NEW Shelby ABC model... WE are creatures of emotional passion - I HAVE TO HAVE THAT ... Take a chill everyone - thats the kicker - Today's hottie item is old news out dated old news next year... RANDY

Your mileage my vary on this question due to availability and demand in your area. I'm in the Atlanta area, and a buddy of mine tried to buy an 06 GT a little over a year ago. The dealerships he went to wouldn't sell a GT on the x-plan, because demand in this area was high for mustang GTs.

If you read the fine print for the X-plan, i think it says somewhere that it is subject to dealer participation. The simplest thing is to call your favorite dealer and ask for a x-plan price.

I checked out the Ford Partner website.

Current excluded vehicles include Ford GT, Shelby 500 GT, Jaguar XK (2007), Volvo C70, F-450 through F-750 Super Duty, E-450 and Aston Martin vehicles. This list of excluded vehicles is subject to change.

Any hope?

I have Z plan and could not get a GT500. I did purchase a GT/CS vert though. Love it.

Jonate, I am almost there on the GT/CS vert. I can add the Shelby modifications cheaper than it looks like I can buy a Shelby GT. I should know my Jan 3, 2007 what direction I will go.

$33k GT/CS vert from Ford and $3k worth of Shelby mods looks like the easiest at this point.

Question: Is the Shelby GT eligible for A/X/Z/D plan pricing?
Answer- No. Similar to Shelby GT500, this limited edition Mustang is not eligible.
