I'm adding a 3D Carbon spoiler to my Shelby GT. Has anyone else added a spoiler? If so, whats the best way to match the silver stripes? Paint? Vynal?Does Ford make a stripe kit for spoilers? What have you guys/girls done?

There are some SGT owners, or dealers, that have added a rear spoiler to the car. Since you have a 2007, I wanted to show you some white and black ones.
Personally, I like the SGT without a spoiler. But, if you did one, I think the Pony/KR one looks best. However, the GT500 is probably the most popular add-on. One of the pictures is without for comparisons sake.

As far as matching the stripes, unless you're looking to one day paint all of the stripes on the car, go with vinyl on the spoiler. The texture will match the rest of the car and it will help the spoiler look like it was there from the factory.
That being said, I have to agree with socalwrench - one of my favorite things about the SGTs is the "shaved" no spoiler deck. But it's your stang - mod it till you're happy with it!

Thanks for the input. Really appreciate it. The spoiler is a subtle ducktail type, 3 piece spoiler. I won it in a charity auction so the price was right. It's at the body shop getting painted right now. Along with a pair of headlamp splitters.(also part of the auction). Ford wanted over $200 for two pieces from the factory stripe kit. So the spoiler is getting painted stripes in Satin Silver matching the Ford paint code. I hope it turns out all right. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Below are photos of 08SGT0528 after adding an OEM Shelby GT500 rear spoiler. The added stripe material is Oracal 970, like the rest. A local guy that does stripes for most of the Ford dealerships in So. FL did the work. He had a printer-like device that cut the stripes to the exact width needed. The color was a perfect match. I'm not sure about the OE stripes on the 07 SGTs, that may be another material.

I agree, his Shelby GT looks great. Just so you know, all the Shelby GTs came with silver stripes. However, the Barrett Jackson edition was an except that came with red stripes.

I meant the car's color. That blue is really nice. Kona blue I think. BTW, i got my spoiler back from the painter and I am super super happy with it! It came out fantastic. The satin silver painted stripes matched the vinyl strips perfectly. When the day comes to repaint the car I'm definately having the Le Mans strips painted on the car instead of the vinyl stripes. Here are a couple of pictures. Thanks. I enjoyed everyones input.

I realize you're not done installing the whole spoiler, but that one piece looks great! I really like you rear CS and Shelby emblem cover too!
Just in case you were wondering- Shelby GT paint colors: performance white, ebony black, vista blue and grabber orange.

Thanks SoFlo and SoCal. Nice sharing the thread with you. SoFlo, it's funny you mentioned the mountains. The builder of my home charged me extra for the view. Lol.
SoCal, are you in Southern California? Mustangs at the Queen Mary car show is coming up in September. I'd be cool to meet you and see your car entered.

I sure am in California. I'm about 1.5 hours north of downtown Los Angeles. Thanks for the information on the car show. Which one is it again?

Mustangs at the Queen Mary. Put on by the Beach Cities Mustang Club. I'll get you the registration info if you want. There are many different classes, lots of awards, vendors, cool cars and cool people. The location is pretty nice too! Let me know.
