retuning

I know the car comes tuned from shelby, is there anyway, they can adjust the tune on the car at the dealership to maybe get you some more HP?

Dealership won't help you retune your car. Other speed shops will though, and you can probably get a few more HP out of it.

The car would not come with the device, no. Somewhere like www.bamachips.com or www.tillmanspeed.com or www.brenspeed.com can sell you a tuning device with tunes loaded onto it. You then pick one and load the tune into the car. It is the same as tuning a regular GT, except you already have a Cold Air Intake on the car.

okay, gotcha. Is it really worth the expensive of a tuner such as a predator or sct which costs close to 400.00. Do i really gain that much more, or is it only about 10 hp?

On a Shelby GT it would probably be about 10hp. On a standard GT, you can add a CAI and a tuner and get about 25-30hp. Since you already have the CAI, I would believe you may squeeze 10-15hp out of a more aggressive tune. The main advantage for you would be throttle response, and getting rid of the throttle lag/hang. Lag is when you push on the gas and it takes a split second to actually go. Hang is when you let off the gas and the rpm's don't drop immediately. I don't know how much those are an issue with the Shelby's, since they are retuned by Shelby.
