Aw c'mon Brad.
You know PSH is better than a Shelby GT.
Methinks you need to go for a drive.

What will replace the SGT? Is Shelby going to be limited to doing after-title KR and Supersnake conversions? I would think that another model would be in the works. (The Terlingua won't keep them that busy.) Lots of speculation over on the Team Shelby forum, but no one from Shelby is talking. (Wouldn't a GT350 be nice?)

I just happen to have an available new 08 Vista Blue Vert, and it's priced below MSRP.

I saw a Grabber Orange SGT the other day and must say that it was a sharp looking car.

+1
My car will resemble it within the year.
18" Chrome Bullets instead of polished very soon.
Front grill this spring.
Real roll bar instead of light bar this summer.

I am sad to see it go.
But I imagine that a GT350, white with blue stripes is coming soon.

On both counts, I'd have to order my SGT with the Ford Racing blower, 20" Razors, Baer brakes, and a host of other upgrades.

I'm sad to see the Shelby GT go as well. I really wanted a Torch Red Shelby GT, but I guess not. I built my GT with a similar look.

SAI is quite busy with the Super Snake and KR right now. There are plans for '09 versions of both of these Shelbys. I hope they do a GT 350 (Torch Red 'vert, of course) based off the 2010+ GT.

Good call!

I like all those mods and I bet I know one other on the site that does too...

Will wait for his reply.

I would anticipate a new GT 350 announcement from SAI sometime soon. Problem is that the SGT looks so much like the original GT 350, I'm not sure what they can do to make it look like an GT 350 without looking just like a Shelby GT.

Maybe the new GT 350 will have a functional hood scoop like the original, and pack 350 hp. That's only 31 more hp than the Shelby GT.

I'm just speculating.

no one has made a serious effort to make a GT350 like front facia for these cars. So I could see something like that being made to make the cars look different...plus the color scheme and th stuff you mentioned....but I wish Ford would like the GT500 though instead of shipping it to shelby and adding expence.

The GT350 has been widely speculated for some time, but do we really have any evidence that one will really be made? The SGT, with all of its issues, was put together quickly and released to the public faster than Ford could have ever done. Maybe the SGT was just an interim model leading up to the 350? I agree that the SGT had the right look. Maybe the 350 would just be an improvement in fit and finish, along with that extra bit of hp? I assume you're talking about the GT-350R front fascia, codeman? Could they really split the front bumper and maintain safety standards? It sure would look nice, though. Keep the round brake ducts from the R model and add some fogs. And please, an aluminum hood scoop! I read where Shelby may have been talking to Kirkham (the ones who make the aluminum Cobra replicas) about making an aluminum hood scoop that won't warp. Could that be all that hard?

If the GT-350 gets made, I hope someone recreates the famous "flying Shelby" photo with one of the new models. Won't that look great in the garage?

The GT-350 is coming. The only question is when.

Caroll is 85 now...[i think that's correct] Is there a SAI after he leaves the planet...Is there any value to his name if he's departed? Hmmm...just a musing thought...
