Neither '65 or '66 had quarter window scoops.

unfortunately I have to agree I will stand up and fight for shelby till the bitter end but this car from what I can see in this one photo just isnt a shelby Ive been hoping and waiting that it will be what i'm looking for but honestly it just doesnt quite cut it for some reason (part of which is the hood)
it's time for the gt350 to come out and to stop offering items that just don't appeal to the audience.... the cs6 was an incredible car but a v6 which isnt true to the mustang realistically ... this imo falls just short of the expectations I would have from shelby.... and the gt500 while the closest thing and an incredible car is not in the price range of most mustang individuals on top of it wasnt built in house by shelby automotives
The GT350 would most likely if done right solve this problem for all mustang enthusiasts and finally offer us a true shelby that the normal working individual can afford
So Amy if your listening everyone is screaming at the top of their lungs
---> if you build the gt350 we will come

Yawn.
Guess I'll just keep modding my 05 until Ford gives me a reason not to. I'm still way under 30k spent (23,500 initial) and will easily like what I have better than what the Shelby GT will offer.
The whole TRUE GT350 idea is neat and all, but I'm hoping (fingers crossed and praying) for a real BOSS. I doubt I'll get what I want out of it ...... 400+HP.....but who knows for sure.

[quote=cgoeschel]Production is limited to far less than 10000 units that other websites are quoting, and Im not too sure on this one, but I think he said that they were still going to do the cars in Las Vegas. quote]
Oh good, another chance for dealers to add 10 - 20 thousand on the price.

I am one of those who had been waiting a GT350, like most everyone else, but the more I think about, I'm not so sure anymore.
With the Shelby brand name being thrown on so many disapointing cars (CS6, GT-H, GT) I'm afraid the Shelby name is going to lose some of it's value. Just a thought.

I am sick of waiting around, and I most likely will buy this Shelby GT Stang. Its not the 390 or 400 hp SE I was expecting, but it does have the Shelby name, and should be a collectors item someday. If and when Ford does decide to make a better SE, I will have to decide if I am going to ditch the Shelby. But, I won't be 100% sold on this Shelby until I see it in person.

that pic looks completely photoshopped
Pros:
-Clean racer look.
-CS Front
Cons:
-Silver stripes on white.

-Nothing but a CS w/ spoiler delete and FRPP parts.
-Ford bullitts (should be Torq-Thrust II's)
They should've used the black rocker panels from the v6/GT500 and the GT500/CS rear bumper with the GT500 paint scheme. And have the front lip of CS bumper flat black to match. With that, the car doesnt look so massive. And blue stripes. Definately needs blue stripes. The scoop isnt too bad. The CS one is worse.
Well, when I get my Mustang, I know my Shelby-style color combo will look a lot cooler.

But I think you should get rid of the 350. It should be 500!
Certainly looks bad-a** enough.
Amy...Amy? Where are you?
Guess all these negative gripsters scared her off.
Which is as it should be. Too many choice limitations, fake bits, and underwhelming styling elements characterize this car. The color limitations, fake hood scoop and inability to order the car with Ford's '07 package upgrades are all deal breakers, at least for me.
It just isn't worth the bother and it all leads me to think that Shelby Automotive doesn't really understand the current Mustang community or their enthusiast base.
I'd MUCH rather order a FULLY loaded GT, slap some 255 tires on the fanblades, and add the FRPP peformance upgrades behind the scenes.

It should have the front head lamps the same as the gt 500. 325 HP well mumble okay but if it does come with 3.73s ... thats okay. I would love to see a black and red combo ( or red and black ) ... maybe thats coming. I think it should come with a little more horses, say like 335 or 340.
its a hurry up and wait issue again ... but from the pics i have seen, i am not impressed.

Well, it does seem a bit plain, but maybe because so many of us have already modded our cars well beyond that. I think it is fairly comparable to the '66 Shelby, as far as what you are getting. Also, I am a Cobra fanatic (AC), so I kinda like the hood scoop. It actually IS retro. It is disappointing about the HP and color combos, though. Amy mentioned in the other thread that certain colors were being reserved for more appropriate cars, whatever you want to read into that. As long as the price is good, it'll sell. You gotta give them credit for trying to make it as affordable as possible.
