Question If I ordered a 2008 today, when will it be here?????????

I am looking at getting a stang and like the Shelby GT a lot. That said, I am not in a rush. I would actually prefer to get it after I get my income taxes back next year, it would work out better. That said, I know some of you ordered one months ago and are still waiting. Are these lead time going to decrease or do you think I should start working a deal now?

Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!

The 08's are much less in total production. 07 ended up being somewhere in the 5700 range. For 08 you have 200 - 300 Grabber Orange So. Cal only cars out of the 2300 or so total build. I would work your deal now to secure a car. I really don't think you will see these hanging around the lots like the 07's are. There was also a delay in Shelby getting started on the 07's which is one of the reasons there are many 07's left. For the people who ordered modifications out of the Shelby Mod Shop they faced the long delay. Some of the reasons were under estimation of the popularity of the shop and mods in general and also short staffing in the begining. Only a few left to complete on the 07's I'm told. Then the 08's will be heading into the mod shop. Just some food for though in your decision. Hope this helps somewhat.

I've got a little different take than rossgt. I think you will find 08s available on ebay in the spring at much lower prices than you can get now. The only chance you and taking, is getting exactly what you want. If you are picky, then order, if you aren't then I would recommend biding your time.

IMO the 08.5 Bullitt will put additional pressure on dealers to drop their 08 SGT prices.

I think production on the 08's started in August. I know I picked mine up right off the lot. Every Ford Dealer with 02 miles of me had a decent selection. I got 90% of what I wanted had I ordered the car. Just lucky I guess but since the 08's first run is already on lots I wouldn't think it would take too long to get one in.

I could be wrong but just my .02
