When did the rivets attach it to the hood? The Shelby's I've seen had the same 7 (I think) bolts holding the hood on as the GT AP, and just tape for the rest of it.

As you well know, they can mark them up all they want but that doesn't mean they will sale them.
Many dealers are now having a tough time getting rid of their 07 SGTs for invoice. I think when the 2008.5 Bullitt comes out, it's gonna dramatically/negatively impact 08SGT sales. Maybe thats the reason the 08 SGTs are ending with job 1 and Bullitts are beginning in job2.

Well riveting the scoop to the hood should take care on the warping issues. IMO since they choose to go with that style scoop it makes sense to rivet it down.

Hey 05Fordgt
1) I didn't think the Bullitt was a go though, I have not read every scrap of info out there.
2) Which one will be more popular, SGT of Bullitt in your opinion.
I mean, the SGT MSRP at 37-40 is very close to GT500 MSRP @ 43 (prices are falling here too as many second hand units are on the market now)
What's good about the Bullitt @ what MSRP?

I plan on using a trufiber hood with built in functional ram air scoop. I bought it for my original 08 Mustang GT order, so I might as well use it.
Maybe I'll use the SGT hood as a nice wall ornament

so tell me why is it we "the consumer" had to be the people that found all the short cuts (read mistakes) that were blazingly obvious? Why weren't these found/fixed before these cars left the factory?

Thanks
and incase anyone was wondering I was going off the fact that the rivets are now at least real..even if the scoop isn't

Looks like there will be 219 Grabber Orange SGTs built. They will build these 1st; and then they will start building the Blue cars.
UPDATE: 001-0217 were Grabber Orange. 0218-~2200 were Vista Blue

2. I think the Bullitt will be popular for the look alone. I for one would have one of these as I LOVE Highland Green, and the look will be cool (once we finally see the finished product).
3. The Bullitt package will be the same as the GT/CS package. Same price.

1. The Bullitt has been a go for several months now. The only thing we are waiting for are pictures of the real car (L.A Auto Show from what I have heard).
