I think the blue/silver makes the SHELBY letters look less cheap....I will not lie, this car looks way awesomer than the '07's

I agree, but I'd bet that combo is on hold for the Shelby GT350.

Im guessing what he means is that the silver looked best with both white and black. So because they were only going to offer the car in 2 colors, 3 now with the 08, they went with a stripe color that worked for all. Also, back in the day when I sold vinyl silver and gold metallic were cheaper than the other colors. I assume it is still the case.
