Does the exhaust get louder?
I see all these people buying the GTA's and they are great and all, I just dont know why the would all spend the money to get a slightly louder muffler. Once broken in, do they start sounding any louder?
I have about 10,000 miles on mine and yes, they are louder and deeper. They do have a bit of drone about 1500-1700 rpms but at highway speeds they are quiet. I like the sound they have, it is different than stock. I get compliments on it as well.
I have GTAs on my GT, they're only slightly louder at idle and part-throttle, but they are much deeper sounding in those ranges. At WOT they are a LOT louder than stock, and sound great.
Had my GTA's on for about 2,000 miles and they are much deeper and much cleaner than stock exhaust. No question about it. PLUS the 4" polished tips looks 100 times better than those tiny stockers, and lastly the cost.... all make them an awesome value and a great mod for our stangs.
I just hit 6,000 miles on mine last week and I have noticed in the last week that she seems a little louder. I figured it had broken in by now but I think it is just getting settled in. It sounds awesome IMO
I have around 7k on mine. Superb bang-for-buck value. Later down the road I may pick up some Borla Stingers for a head turning in your face exhaust system. But for now these are perfect.
Maybe my hearing is going. My GTAs don't seem any louder than when they were installed 8000 miles ago...at least not from INSIDE the car.
But I really like 'em and think they're loud enough.
