#5322 Completed and Delivered!
The wheel has not shipped
They are in crunch time to get products ready for SEMA tomorrow. The console cover has been removed and being shipped to Texas along with the shift boot. I decided to have the shift boot make of leather with a double red stich down the middle to match the stiching of the steering wheel. The headrests are on the way to Cali. When they get the console cover in Texas they will cut a piece of matching leather and then ship that to Cali. to have it embroidered then it goes back to Texas for a double red stich on each side and installation of the leather to the console lid. I think it will some time before I get everything back.
Beautiful AND MEAN! PS I want your brakes, Roger
Well I finally received the steering wheel here are a couple of shots of the finished product. I currently have the headrests, shift boot and console cover out for customization and will install the wheel when I have all of the componants. I was working on the rear block off plates for the quarter windows. Painted them gloss black after masking all of the rivets and "Shelby" lettering then finished with 3 coats of clear. My new tag arrived tht I ordered this past summer. It is the same plate that Carroll Shelby originally had assigned to him in California back in 1962. Difference is it was a Mfg. plate. But this has all of the same numbers and letters. Added the Shelby billet hood pin kit too. I also added a couple of shots from a little trip to Newport, RI I took last Sunday. That should be about it for the winter. Predicting snow for Sunday evening.
