Really like that 2006 GT-H Hood
I love the new Shelby GT 500 However was very disappointed in the hood choice. Now a see the hood of my dreams on the GT-H. You think they will sell that separately. I hope I need that hood.
Also I have to rent one for a weekend I wonder which locations are getting these cars.

Now I just have to get a hold of a rental for the weekend. Easier said then done. Only 500 cars, where are they going.
Any guesses.

NY, California, and Florida are among the states in which the GT-H will be available.

I don't think NY is one of the areas. Looks like MA is the closest to me where I can rent one.

You are right. My mistake.
"... The 2006 Ford Shelby GT-H Mustang will be available at select airport locations that feature the Hertz Fun Collection including Phoenix, Arizona; Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego and San Francisco, California; Denver, Colorado; Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Tampa and West Palm Beach, Florida; Maui and Honolulu, Hawaii, and Las Vegas, Nevada. In addition, the car will be available in Boston, Massachusetts"

Here's another angle.
Oh, and did any of you catch Dream Car Garage this weekend? They had a segment on Shelby cars in Las Vegas. Looks like they filmed at 2 different events, one was at a track event, and the other was in front of the Shelby offices, where I took this picture. If you look really close in the video, you can see me in the background, kneeling down in front of this car to look at the front grill. I tivo'd it, my 2.5 seconds of fame. 8->
Oh, and as you can see from this picture, the bottom side of the hood has the stock insulator/blanket, so the vent is non-functional.

Does anyone know what materia the Shelby CS-6 hood is made from?
Aluminum, Fiberglass ??
The Shelby web site says nothing so I'd expect it to be cheap, heavy fiberglass, especially since they recommend hood pins. It probably weighs more than a stock Mustang hood.
