Got the H today!!

After a late night watching the OSU-Texas game last night and before I went to watch the Bengals-Chiefs game this afternoon I went up to Port Columbus and picked up 06H0362 for the next two weeks. First off, it was not washed very well (taking care of that in the morning ). Nice exhaust note and decent acceleration for an auto. Handling is very good as well. Will be posting more here as I get more seat time and will post some pics later tomorrow. Overall so far so good.

And all the guy said to me was "You are going to have fun with this car" and that was it. No walk around, checklist or anything.

Cam Please be sure to take a couple of shots showing the view out of the windshield from the driver's seat. I meant to take a measurement of just how much higher the hood was on the rear edge, then forgot. Thanks, Have fun! Joe

A car wash couldn't do any worse to the car then however they wash it. I almost thought the car was dirty with all the water marks/spots on it. Going to go out and get the hose and bucket out this morning and clean it up for some pics.

Sounds like a good down payment on a new car instead of a 2 week rental.

Pics!!!

Kinda overcast so they could have been better. Will try to get some better ones before I return it if the weather permits and depending on my wife's "condition". She is pregnant and I wanted to rent the car and thought it would be neat to say our son was brought home in a Shelby.

Here ya go Joe. The second pic shows the overspray on the rear edge right in front of you while you are driving. Wonder how they missed that one???

And did I mention that the hood scoop holds enough water to drown a cat??!!?? I had two little lakes in the corners of it when I got done washing it this morning.

With the power driver's seat you can raise it enough for a shorter driver. I am a little over 6' tall so even with the seat all the way down it isn't a problem. Of course the overspray makes it hard to look at though.

We have some really slick ramps around here so I have to be careful with those. Have had the Bullitt sideways on them without really trying. I tried to take it down this little back country road that is twisty and kinda reminds you of one they would use in a TV commercial (especially if the leaves are falling and covering the road) but the two times I went out there I got stuck behind slower traffic. Right now it is pouring rain here and looks like it is going to until Thursday sometime so I will just be sitting in the dinning room looking at the car in the car port it looks like.

Dude you have to get it on those back mountain roads, it is awesome. The suspension turns it in a to a real sports car.

Not only did you get a GT-H, but a swimming pool besides! I sent you a pm. Take care, Joe

Are there drain holes on the hood for this purpose? I am considering getting the new Shelby GT with the CS6 hood option but have been wondering if this was going to be a problem. Would it be annoying enough to prevent any of you that have driven the GT-H from getting the CS6 hood.

Mark There are no drain holes, so for the moment, what you see is what you get. With that, I'm still in love with the look of that hood. I think the only thing holding me back for the moment is the price for the hood/prep.

Enclosed is the interior pad of the hood, which appears to identical to the original hood pad.

Well, got some better pics of the car today with the big orange thing up in the sky. Think they call it the sun. Anyways, in the one of the front end you can see where it had already been scraped by a previous renter. Olivia and I both agree if we were to get our hands on one we would probably have it redone as far as the paint and the stripes go. Definately have the stripes painted on since there are several nicks in them as well, especially the sides near the door edges and the trunk.
