I'm new to this forum as a member, but have enjoyed Brad's site for years. I still own my first car, a 1968 Mustang GT Fastback. I've owned it now for 28 years. I've been an Mustang Club of America member for 28 years too... joined the MCA when I was 15 years old.

I'd read the posts here about the problems with renting a Hertz Shelby so I was ready for the questions and restrictions. THANKS to all who posted because I was able to successfully negotiate all the obstacles!!

Great story. We had 362 for 2 weeks so I could bring my newborn son home from the hospital in a Shelby and that is what I did. You are right, the looks the car gets are worth the price of renting it alone. I didn't get to enter our in a show but took it to the Tri State Mustang Club meeting and it was a huge hit there as well. Great car. I wonder how many beside the two you mentioned have been totalled already?
