Has anyone seen or rented one at a Hertz location yet, or know when they will start showing up? Thanks, Joe

 

I was at Hertz-LAX Friday morning, and low and behold, if they did not have four GT-H Verts parked outside the area next to the Courtesy Bus stop. I had a chance to check out the remaining GT-H coupes that still remain in their fleet as well. The coupes are starting to look pretty rough; the painted disc calipers had most of the black paint gone, as well as many scratches throughout the fleet.
When I checked back in on Sunday afternoon, all of the GT-H Verts were gone, but the Coupes were still there. Makes sense, as the agent said that the rental price was the same for either the year old coupe, or the brand new vert! What you get will be determined by what you want, and what they have when you arrive. One week rentals appear to be between $550 to $750 (based on corp/discounts available).

 

I saw one near the San Diego airport. Unfortunatly I saw it while in my car and the GT-H vert was being driven so I couldn't take a pic.

 

at the Hertz in Midtown West 34th (between 8th and 9th) tucked inside their garage!

 

Saw one cruisin' around with the top down when we were at the Grand Canyon earlier this month.

 

Got a quick shot of one outside the San Diego Convention Center this past week. I noticed that Shelby is no longer painting the disc brake calipers black.

I saw the convertible and it is nice. I would like to know what the side emblem says. I don't think its "powered by ford".

 

It says "Hertz".

 

Wonder why they used hertz for an emblem besides the obvious?

 

I saw one cruising around downtown Chicago. I also saw a coupe around here too. I looked on the Hertz website and it states we don't have them here. Both had Illinois plates though. I wanna rent one so bad!!!

 

***Update*** The Hertz website does in fact have the vert in Chicago. I have reserved one for Sept. 15th!!!!

 

i snuck into the hertz lot at the ft lauderdale airport and they had a couple sitting there. i wanted to try to color match the stripes to some samples i had in my pocket. they didnt match unfortunately... and after returning from my trip to ny as soon as i exited the airport doors there was a gt-h stopped at the crosswalk.

 

I just saw one leaving Sheppard Air Force Base here in little Wichita Falls. Certainly wasn't from here, probably a Dallas car.

A friend's brother rented one for his wedding in Seattle a couple weeks ago, and I've seen then here in Vegas, posted a pic of one outside the World Series of Poker last month.

I've seen them quite frequently since my last post. Funny thing I've pulled up next to a couple of them at red lights and the people driving them act all arrogant as if it's there car.

 

Seen quite a few running around Miami lately. Haven't seen any more hardtops.
On a side note: I have seen more and more High end exotics car rental places popping up in South Florida. Even Enterprise Rental Car in Coconut Grove is jumping on the band wagon. They are renting Lotus Elise's (with manual transmissions), Jaguars, Audi A4's, Cadillac Excalades and such. It must be good business.

 

I was in Boston in early September and saw a couple. They had a few coupes sitting there and they looked rough and I mean rough.
