WWW.FORD.CA - now has the 07 GT/CS

Do you think it is a coincidence that the Ford Famly pricing that ended Aug. 31 (which included the 07 GT/CS in the deals) but was not advertised on the web site, but is now advertised on the site in Sept. AFTER the promotion period has ended !!!

I did the "build and price" on the CS I ordered in Aug. and there was a $5500 difference between the msrp on the web site and what I paid!!!

For "ALL" options available exept the Skaker 1K I paid $38,600 CDN + taxes ect. on the GT/CS Conv. with cloth roof and everything else.

Of course if you were to order it now you not pay msrp, but make sure you play "HARDBALL" as they have over FIVE GRAND in price flexability.

Yep, I bought my GT/CS under the FFP in Canada on Aug 11/06. My price and yours are neary identical, except you have cloth roof and I don't; which accounts for most of the difference. The price diferential in the US is not as great as it is in Canada (I believe). Canadian prices are not truly reflective of the true US-Cdn exchange rate (not unusual in the car business). US buyers have a bit less to play with, I think.

I checked out a few dealerships and chilliwack ford was the only one who would let me order an 07 GT/CS and get ffp the other dealerships said they could only get me ffp if they had one on the lot. When I went to hallmark ford the guy told me they only had one GT coupe left and that if I wanted one I would have to act fast. When I left I counted 4 GT coupes on the lot **** lied to me!

Both Ford dealers here allowed ordering the '07 GT or GT/CS under the FFP, no problem at all. It's too bad some of the dealers like to play games as it usually comes back to bite them in the butt.

Knowledge is power !! always go in well armed with lots of data to shove in their face if they try and give you the gears. The FFP was about 88.15% of the MSRP, (I checked many ford dealer web sites) on loaded GT Conv. to make sure I was comparing apples with apples.

It was that they could not order one for you as described in the FFP details on the Ford site. It is true that I knew alot more about the CS and and the deal than my salesman did.

Yes, my FFP price was 88.05% of MSRP (with only taxes to add).

I just came back from a quick trip to Vancouver, and while there, checked out 4 Ford dealers, including the best (?) for Mustangs, Brown Bros. Not one of them had a GT/CS on the lot or in the showrooms. Browns said they did have some in the PDI yard but who knows?

Reason I mention all this is because there is one Perforamce White GT/CS Vert here in Kelowna at Kelowna Ford Lincoln which as of last Friday, was available. Maybe someone in the Lower Mainland is interested?

BTW, I'm not in any way involved with any Ford dealer, here or anywhere, and post this out of interest only.

Canada needs their own Mustang special. I vote for the British Columbia Special. GT/BC

BC and CA are both on the Pacific coast, both make movies, have nice snow skiing in mountain ranges on their eastern border, are shaped similiarly, and have problems with their southern neighbor

Great post and great idea, AFBLUE.

Like your comment about the southern neighbors - we get along just fine with Washington, Oregon and California, it's just the "fly over" states that give us trouble occasionally.....

Unfortunately, with only a bit over 4 million pop in BC, a GT/BC is not too likely. Even all of Canada at 32 or 33 million is too small. You have to be BIG like California.
