Who has the oldest 2007 GT/CS
I was looking at my cars build date which was 8/06 and was wondering who had the oldest GT/CS. Since they start build cars in August I am wondering if my GT/CS was one of the first ones build for 2007.

Actually they started build them in early June 06. They took and two week "vacation" and started up again in July. Mine was built 17 July 06

Sorry dumb reply but can we not tell that in the vin # because say is factory ordered or bought off a lot that timing is not relevant really , I think it ia located in the vin # as like a 0001 00002 00003 but then maybe they just did up all GT's and then selected only some to be allowcated for the Factory GT/CS build ?

You can tell when your car was built if you open the driver side door and look at the door tag in the upper left corner there will be date in MM/YY format. This will tell you when your car was built.

Mine was ordered on July 7th, Built on Aug 2ed
VIN# 1ZVHT85H775223055.
Here is the break down of the VIN
1ZV = Ford Motor Co.
H = side air bags
T85 = body style, Convertible in my case.
H = 4.6 V8 engine
7 = check #, worthless
7 = year
5 = plant
223055 = serial #.
From what I understand even the serial # is not sequential in order of build
, but more of when the order was receved and entered into the system. There are also gaps in the numbers too.
From the VIN there is no way of telling you have a GT/CS, but you can from the build sheet.If you go back to the early days of the GT/CS threads there is a lot of info there. A lot of us asking the same questions.

I don't really care who got what first or when well I do but bottom line to me & should be for most is how well they run ! am I right ? It's not who has this or that it what we each bought that makes us happy ! I'm Happy with it thus far 1 week.

Well the build date was Aug 2006 so it could be anytime in August since I don't have the exact date that my car was built.
