UK based GT/CS n00b signing in

Hi all,

Just thought I'd say hi after lurking for a while.

Have an '07 GT/CS on order for delivery to the UK (which means I'm in for a 3 month wait!). Still, it gives me time to decide what turning add-on's I'll be ordering

Spec. is as follows if you're interested:

'07 Mustang GT/CS Premium Coupe in Black Clearcoat
Black/Dove interior
5-speed manual
GT appearance pack

Interior upgrade
Comfort pack
Locking wheelnuts
Front seat side mount airbags
Shaker 500
Charcoal aluminium instrument applique panel

To be retrofitted:

FRPP Handling pack
FRPP Axle back exhaust system and X-pipe
Cold air induction kit (researching best options for the '07)
FRPP Supercharger (or equivalent)

I'm moving to a 4 seater (from 2) as I have a young family. I built my last few cars, so modifying one will be a lot of fun and, I expect, a good deal easier

I'm a huge fan of American Iron. Both my last two cars had Small Blocks in them (on 630hp Supercharged .383 and the other a more docile 400hp .350). They were an Ultima GTR and an Ultima Can-Am - if yhou've never heard of Ultima's, I covered the builds on a couple of websites if you have a few hours to kill reading them

http://www.ultima-gtr.info
http://www.ultima-canam.info

Anyway, hi from the UKm, great to be here and can't wait for my 'stang to arrive!

CJ - welcome to the site and congrats on your new GT/CS! They are a blast to mod - sounds like with your previous hp levels you might be looking at forced induction?

Anyway, enjoy the car - they are a lot of fun

PS Good luck with the waiting part....drove me

Hi
I know want you mean about the 3 mths wait, I've just picked mine up from Southampton yesterday after 3 weeks on the water from Houston
What a great feeling it is to finally drive it.
How got to get the SVA work done.
I think this makes 5 GT/CS in the UK now
Look forward to seeing your some time in the future at a UK show.

Hi Pony,

I almost bought one from Gullo inHouston in October when I was there visiting family (half of mine live in Magnolia just outside the Woodlands). They had the perfect car (well, save for the satellite radio and 3.55 diff), but I still had the Can-Am to sell at the time.

Having to special order as getting a GT/CS without the short diff and radio is proving tough! I guess 'fully loaded' means just that

What colour/spec did you go for? Was it self import or did you use a specialist? (I'm using importmyvehicle)

Cheers
Stig
