Patience is a virtue...lol, yeah, I know... me either. As bad as it sucks to wait, don't cancel, you'll regret it

-----------------------------
I ordered my car on October 20 2004, got my VIN and DORA on November 4 and finally got a build date on December 14th. Drove the car home on December 28. It seemed like a long wait to me, but other people had to wait alot longer then I did.

You did get a copy of your DORA (the form that shows the order was entered into the system and accepted by Ford), right?
What's the priority number? If it's high that could be one of the problems.

My car was on a temporary delay in production from the day I placed the order (based on information here on TMS), until early November when I finally got a build date. During the delay I called Ford customer service a few times as I had problems contacting my salesman (internet manager) during the delay (and when I did contact him he claimed he didn't know about any delays with my order) for updates, so if I was in your situation that's what I would do...call Ford Customer Service and keep calling the dealer to find out what's going on with your order.
----------------------------
In closing, I agree with what others have said here-
Don't cancel or you'll regret it. The car is worth the wait
Good Luck

Kevin,

Did you get this information through something that has public access? Or are you special It would be cool to have something like that to put in my scrapbook.

It is an online Data Base that I use for Specifying Build levels on Cars if the Parts Catalog has conflicting info or the customer is unsure of an option. It is More indepth after the car is built. Send me an email with your vin and I will email it back. Put VCIS on the Subject. These take some time to pull so hopefully I won't Get a Thousand Requests for these! LOL!
