Good call, I like the idea of the sway bar kit, especially if you are already lowered. if not lowered, you might consider an FRPP M-FR3-MGT handling pack, which includes 1" lower springs, shocks, swaybars and another strut tower brace. My daily driver is a VW GTI so the Mustang stock suspension leaves much to be desired in the handling department, IMO. Your suspension upgrade should be a nice improvement.

Yea, I've put a few Shelby cosmetic things on my Calif Spec but for the most part, just stock with an FRPP Bullitt style CAI. Took too much crap about the lic. plate frame, so I remover it. LOL. The interior pic shows a cut down and dressed up alum. key fob that I used for the console. I really like the CS-Shelby logo (old school) from the Shelby American days.

I know this is an old thread but the Shelby swaybars are way overpriced IMO. The FRPP stuff is around $425 and is probably identical to the Shelby.

Here's what I paid for those same parts:

Eibach front sway bar: $130
Eibach rear sway bar: $75 (used on ebay)
Steeda Front endlinks: $80 (used from a forum member)
Grand total: $285

Not everyone will find these deals, BUT, pay no more than $400 for all of it, it's not worth a penny more! Don't make shelby richer than they are for things that are not worth it.

I would lower it first and see how you like the handling before you go with the sway bars. It may handle just the way you want with out spending the extra cash.

Back from the dead.

Shelby Store is selling the Eibach Supersnake option swaybar kit with bars, brackets, bushings, and links for $219 plus about $18 shipping to SoCal. 35mm front bar, 24mm rear. Bargain, for sure. It's on my convertible, now, and works good!

Cheers!

They're now on mine also! AND.....while looking through the packet of stuff with the sways I found a mail-in rebate from Eibach, another $20 off. Made the sway kit $177.10 plus shipping.

Good price! Tells you that the initial price of $650 is robbing people blind! Even at that price, they are not losing money

Did anyone have any trouble installing the Shelby sway bars (the $200.00 ones) on a GT? I called them and they told me that the kit was only for Shelby's and GT500s and wouldn't fit an '05 GT.

I didn't ask about any design differences between GT vs. GT500. The reps name is Tim. He was nice enough, but he sounded like he was reading from a script. Anyway, I'd hate to drop $200.00 only to find out that they won't work on my car and be stuck w/them if you know what I mean.

Tim is a good guy, but I don't know what he was thinking. Near as I can tell, there is a difference between the actual bar specifications and those of a stock GT, but not in the attachments or design.

The kit contains all the necessary bushings that would be different because of the larger-diameter bars required for upgrading GT500s. Otherwise, same-o same-o.

I didn't hesitate to put something very similar on my 2006 V6 car, and that very Eibach kit on my 2008 car.
