Questions on the CS

Questions on the CS
I got my CS about a month ago and I have a few questions on it. The first one is my gas cap is different then the other ones I have seen. My gas cap says CE with the words "California Edition" under it, I assume this is because my pony is a V6 and not a V8. I also don't have the cs striping on the sides like the others and when I bought the car I was told that my car was a 2006 version. Did Ford make the CS mustang for 2006, or is mine just different.

Local dealers in California made two version last year. The first is the one is the one you had "California Edition" and the second was the SCS or "southern california special". That's right, the "California Edition" was a limited edition. It has no relation to the "California Special". The "California Edition" is a V6 Pony Package car with hood/roof/deck stripes, a chrome exhaust tip, special trunk badge and special numbered dash plaque. There was also a "Stampede Edition" that was exactly the same, but sold in Texas and Oklahoma. Both editions were made by Ford and sold through Ford dealerships, and both had a production run of 500.

As described above, yours is a different edition. There's not much similarity between the California Edition and California Special other than the name!

As described above, yours is a different edition. There's not much similarity between the California Edition and California Special other than the name!
