Ordered but need to make a change-is it possible?

I jsut heard from the dealership that the car is going to be built soon and I guess parts were ordered. However, I just realized there was a mistake on the order and I really need to change something. Is there any way that I can?

You can make changes up until it is serialized

I'm sorry but what does that mean and when does it typically happen?

Question-
Do you have your VIN number and a build date for your car?
If you have the above information then you probably can't make any changes without having to reorder the car.

It's my understanding that the term 'serialized' means the car has been assigned a VIN and is waiting for a build-date.

That is correct. Once the car is "Bucked" then you cannot make any changes.

If your car is not serialized, then you can do whatever changes you want.

If it has a serial number then the general rule is a three week lock-in.

Usually you can make the changes if you are more than three weeks ahead of the production week. But not always.
If you are within three weeks of production, changes are very unlikely.
As was said previously, if the vehicle has started production (bucked), then definately no changes.

If serialized and changes are otherwise possible, you cannot add any option that has commodity restrictions - 18" wheels, transmission.
The maximum number of changes that can be processed at once is 6. Colour or interior trim changes count as 2 each.

The dealer has to submit the changes on CONCEPTS. If the vehicle is locked in then the system will not allow any changes. If changes can be submitted then it is subject to the plant processing the changes. You find out within two days.

I wanted to change the dash color and possibly add the metallic fuel door and Sirius. I guess I can get the Sirius and fuel door later but I really want to change the dash color.

Change the dash color? You don't have a dash color option. You can't change the dash color.
