November Rockies Trip
We just returned from a wonderful road trip to Fort Collins area and back on November 30th. A 1,200 mile round trip run with some great curve cruising up on the Horsetooth Foothills roads for some nice photo opts. The engine really loves and pulls harder in the colder 8K feet mountain air!!
We got out of there just in time before winter began rolling down out of the Rockies! I know crazy huh! But we wanted to go on just one more road trip before putting the CalStang up for the winter. We got caught in two snow spits but no salt on the way back home. And the Stang is now as dirty as it has ever been for a show car. But we rolled the dice on this one and enjoyed a family (grandson) Thanksgiving there and just had a blast!!
FYI: Got between 24-27 MPG at 75 MPH the whole way on I-80 depending on the direction of the wind! You know when you flip down the Stang's back seats, that thing can really carry some gear for a pony car!! "Happy Days All" "RC"
