New Guy here... Want a New 2007 GT/CS, any advice?

Hello All, New Guy here...

I'm in the early stages of searching for and buying a 2007 GT/CS. Any advise regarding buying one from a dealership or ordering one direct from Ford? And I'm confused about the Grabber Orange color. Is this color offered on a GT/CS? Also, is the hood scoop an available option on the GT/CS? Finally, what is the X Plan that I've read about? Thanks for any advise. Marty

Yes, GT/CS is now available in Grabber Orange.
The plus of ordering is getting one exactly like you want. GT/CS can be ordered with or without the GT apperance package (hood scoop, exhaust tips, and cover for plenium).
X-plan is roughly equavalent to buying at the invoice price. You can request one at blueovalnews.com. they have a section just for X-plan pin requests

Here's the direct link to the x-plan request section. There should be info there explaining X-plan further. http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums...p?showforum=45

Wow, thanks so much for the replies... I appreciate the info. It's been awhile since I've owned a Mustang but I can tell, Mustang folks are still a very cool, close knit community. Glad to almost be back! I'll keep you all posted on my progress. Again, thank you for the info...

Grabber Orange will be a stand out GT/CS. You have to order it and then you get exactly what you want and you should get invoice pricing. I'd suggest the 3.55 axle is the thing you can get by ordering that you probably won't find on the lot.

I don't care for the GT package hoodscoop, but opinions will surely differ on that.

Don't like it. IMHO, it needs to be darker. It just doesn't have the contrast that the PW has or the mean look of a black CS. The color reminds me of a Yugo or a Neon, or one of those small cars that came out in funky colors. Again, IMHO.

Thanks again for the info and photo's... Not to sure about that GO color. I'm leaning towards the Redfire Clearcoat. I'll probably be ordering one in a few months. One of the local dealers is installing the CDC Shaker Hood Scoop as a dealer option and it's really growing on me. I drove one the other day. Wow, I was impressed...

Marty, go out an order it! You won't regret it! Got mine in November, just in time for winter! HA! I just got back from having the oil changed for the first time and seen a Grabber Orange at the dealers. It's very bright. It also had a dvd/navigation in it (not an option when i got mine). I prefer my Redfire, but that's me. Here are some pics.

GottaHaveIt,

SilverHorseRacing is coming out with the nicest one (shifter bezel) i have seen. It should be out in a couple of weeks. The one Ford makes is also real nice, but way to much $$$, this one is about $64.00

I think the GT/CS looks great in GO. However, I still prefer VB.
