Thanks for the info. I noticed that the 2007 order guides don't list that hood scoop. Maybe the test car is being used to also test the GT appearance package too (which does have the hood scoop).

I hope that they plan to paint that new rear spoiler/ducktail (same one seen on the grabber orange V6 a few weeks ago), the side scoops, and the front airdam the same color as the body. Doesn't look good in black.
Again it might just be a test bed for the new ducktail that will only be on the v6 according to Brad.
The lower front air intake is a little different design than the one seen on here earlier. You can just barely make out a honey comb design in the outer panels.
Also doesn't have the 18" bullits that the order guide mentions.
I agree with you on the back decal.

The wing and scoops are pretty ugly, paint isn't going to help that wing. The third brake light is different, wonder why. If it's released like that I don't think they're going to get too many sales.

Since the spoiler, side scoops & lower front valence are all black, I assume that they are not painted as this is a test mule. My guess is that they will be body colored on the production cars.
The OG says that the 18" polished Bullitts are standard on the GT/CS. I would assume that the 18" fan blades are optional. But again this is obviously a test car so they may have stuck whatever wheels were available as there is still a shortage of the 18" polished Bullitt wheels.
I keep vacillating over whether I like the GT/CS or not. I guess the bottom line is that to be a real SE it MUST have power train upgrades over a regular GT. If Ford had stuck the 4.6L 4V in it, put on some bigger brakes and better shocks and made the T6 trannie optional on it, I'd buy into the GT/CS. But since the GT/CS has NO performance upgrades the verdict has to be. I'm now wondering why Ford wasted their time and precious $$ coming up with the GT/CS in the first place. Ford's resources would have been better spent on a new Mach 1, Boss, GT-350 or even a Bullitt.

I really hope they are still making changes, I was prepared to order one until I saw these pics. That rear spoiler is ugly, the trunk decal looks out of place and the contrasting colors for the spoiler and scoops looks awful. Very disappointing.

So the California Special gives us the following:
1.) a non-functional hood scoop
2.) non-functional brake vents
3.) non-functional rear wing
I prefer things that actually work.

This:

Looks sooooooo incredibly cheap! **shivers in disgust** It looks like they gave a 5 year old a tube of super glue and some random parts and said "Go for it!"

I Have No Life
I guess none of you saw the OTHER photo's of the earlier GT/CS
All parts will be body coloured.
And it is basically a Pony Package for the GT and not a S/E... don't look for any performance upgrades.

That doesn't have anything to do with anything. The GT/CS is available everywhere.
