Just got my new GT/CS!!!!

Hey Guys,

So I was playing with the thought of buying the S197 Mustang for awhile, and last week I had gone to the dealership to look at the Bullit. I got there and almost took the bullit home when before I went in to discuss numbers, I saw a candy apple red GT/CS outside. Needless to say, it was love at first sight LOL!

Although this car doesn't have the performance mods that the Bullit has, or that awesome sound, I still liked it better for its looks. The car is beautiful both inside and out! Now it's just a question of whether I'm gonna keep it stock, or if I'm gonna do a few things to it hehehe. This weekend I'll try to take some pics.

Congratulations and welcome the CS club. I've got a black one, but candy apple red cannot be beat. Enjoy it and let me be the first to say, let the mods begin.

Welcome, fellow CS owner! May I commend you on your excellent color choice!

My CS stayed stock for about 2 days....

It's been raining a lot here, but as soon as it clears up I'll take some pictures. Aside from making her sound a bit better, I think I'm gonna leave this car stock. It's a huge step up from the V6 I have in terms of power, and comfort...so I need to get used to handling the 300hp before I do anything else to it lol.

I did have a question for you guys. It says that our cars are lower than stock GTs by 1.5in...is that correct?

Congrats! I know what you mean about love at first sight. We originally ordered a Candy Apple GT, but kept looking at the CS wondering if we made the right decision with the GT. As soon as I saw the Candy Apple CS in person, I knew it was what I wanted. You get that WOW factor when the sun is shining on the paint.

If I'm not mistaken, the car itself is not lower. It's the different front fascia that's lower.

That is correct, only the front fascia is lower about 1.5". If you decide to lower your car, watch out for parking stops!

I quite like the stock height as it's nice to be able to drive up inclined entrances and not scrape but still have a nice look, even my GTP did that and it was stock

Man, I am so pissed right now. I've only had this car for a week and someone hit it last night while I was parked and didn't leave a note or anything. It scratched a bit of the front bumper and made a very small dent Gonna take it to the dealer tomorrow to have them look at it. This really sucks!

Sorry to here that, man that sucks! I know the feeling, something like that happened to me also, but not quite that early in my ownership. You'll be back on the road in no time enjoying her.

That sucks but can be fixed. I only had 1500 miles on mine when someone pulling through a parking spot from the front didn't see my rear bumper. Cost about 600 bux to fix the bumper and repaint but looks great now and that was more damage then you had, but again my was the rear bumper.
