I have a VIN # - Does anyone know where to go to see any production / schedule info?

I don't have a VIN and ordered my 08 gt/cs vert on 8/12. What is a realistic expectation? My dealer told me it could be anywhere from 8 weeks to 4 months!
Should I just sit tight and wait to hear from the dealer or should I get the vin and check it every day until it gets here!!!

 

Should have the VIN within a week or 2. If your car is being brought to your dealership via convoy, then 8-10 weeks is about normal unless there is some back order/shortage at the Ford plant.

If its being brought by rail, expect your time to be longer, but all of the progress of the car can be tracked by FORD CRC, or your dealership.

 

I ordered my vista blue gt/cs on July 20 and picked it up 54 days later. It was tough but only called the dealer twice. He was acurate to within 3 days of delivery. I love it.

 

Is there a trick to submitting your VIN? Blue Oval forum wont let me add a post to the 2008 topic.

Make sure that after you register, you go to your email and activate your account. Then you should be able to post.

It took about 5 weeks for me to receive my VIN.

I have noticed, ON AVERAGE, most Mustangs get produces 8 days after the Blend date, so mine should be built this Friday!!!

Use the Blue Oval Forums to track it, it works great. They can even get you a Window Sticker when it hits the Blend date.
