Thank you kind sir!

Hey Ryan, did you get your car yet? Sorry I couldn't resist.

It's so hard to wait, it seems to take forever.

luckily I have a few other things to keep me occupied: Moving into a new place (today), trying to get new people to move into my old one, and planning a wedding (getting married in July). It helps a little bit to think of the time left as the last few weeks I'll be able to drive my current car (but I've been driving it for over 110,000 miles so I'm ready for something new)

Man, I went with the wrong dealer. 9 weeks wait now. Ordered end of August, supposed to be here this week...

Plus, when the sales 'consultant' gave me my VIN, there's a digit/number missing.

Oh well...

They are telling me it will be here on January 3rd! 12 weeks seems like a long time to build and deliver a car when demand is so low. What's the deal?

I had the same question. No help from the dealer. I'm under the impression that busier dealers get their orders quicker (I've read stuff about the allocation order affecting this, or something to that effect), but don't know for sure if it would have helped. They told me, initially, 6-12 weeks, and it was 12 wks 3 days. I was ticked, but mostly cause one particular moron kept giving me specific dates that went by, then never called me and kept giving other specific dates; found out he had no real reason for any one date, was pulling them out of his A@@.

Anyhow, unfortunately think you're forced to sit and wait and hope for the best. Hopefully it'll be less than the full 12 weeks!

I had a similar problem... they told me 4-6 wks and she didn't get in till 10 wks had past.

My dealer told me that they had no other Mustangs in front of me for their dealership so they said it should be within the typical wait time. they also said commodity allocations could hold it up, but it came in 8 weeks for me.

Once I had my VIN, Jeff tracked for me each week. It's exciting when you know which week you're being built and checking each day for the produced date!!

it's cool man. I love hearing about all about all the fun things you guys get to do with YOUR mustangs. Christmas is coming late this year (or early next year if you want to be optimistic about it) and I will have mine soon enough! Happy modding.

Unhappy

I ordered my '09 GT with glass roof on 10/18. The original ETA was 12/8, then 12/15, now 12/20! That might not be so bad if I wasn't going to be out of town for the holidays from 12/20-12/27! It has been on the super slow train. It was shipped 12/6 and it is only in Ohio.

You have to make sure the 'ship' date you got was from the glass roof install factory, not the original Flat Rock plant. Apparently takes an extra week minimum, from what my dealer said. Didn't really trust a word they said after all the hassle, though.

Good luck!

I had to wait 21 days, 3 hours, 26 minutes, and 19.79 seconds to get mine, and its an 07 that I got used. Ive already put on over a thousand miles in a month. You'll find really silly reasons to drive randomly.
