GT/CS vs. Bullitt
GT/CS vs. Bullitt
GT/CS or Bullitt? I expect a biased result, so I'm posting this in both forums to see what results I get.
But I know that the bullitt has 15 more horsepower and a different suspension, but how many tenths of a second does that translate to in a street race? (which i don't condone
)

the bullitt has a cleaner look and the different suspension is more fun to drive every day. It will also hold value better. while the Cs is nice its all plastic stick on items.
But really I would just keep the car you have now.
There isn't enough difference really and you can always add suspension and a tune.

The difference is the GT/CS features are meant to stand out while the Bullitt's are concealed. It boils down to its predecessors and original designs.
I've been told by many how basic and stripped the Bullitt looks while those who know its cues admire it. I like the GT/CS, it is well balanced, and its upgrades are done in good taste not as outrageous as the aftermarket does on some of their Mustangs.
Ford knows best.

I like the Bullitt exterior appearance better than the GT/CS; I like the
GT/CS interior a little better than the Bullitt.
The Bullitt depends on something external to the car itself for some of its appeal.
The GT/CS is a little confused about what it wants to be.
All in all I like convertibles better than coupes; my black GT/CS convertible, with the fog lamps darkened with slip-on covers, black side stripes, and black wheels it is almost as sleek as the Bullitt. Actually quite a relief after the white coupe with black stripe.
Of course they both have upgraded suspension components and the Bullitt cooler-air intake and FRPP tune, which put them in the same performance range as the Bullitt.
I really, really like all three very much: Bullitt, GT/CS coupe, GT/CS convertible. Mmmm mm.

Stock off the showroom floor, I'd got with the Bullitt. But I didn't.
Adding performance and appearance mods, I prefer the GT/CS as the starting point.
But again, straight off the showroom floor, never to be touched by a mod, I'd have to go with the Bullitt.

Depends what you like. I like both, but love my CS because it is mine. In the circumstances that I bought it, I was not comparing different Mustangs, just saw this and wanted it. You should feel like that about whatever you buy. The HP can be taken care of, as well as suspension. Good luck!
Exactly my thoughts. I love that Bullitt steering wheel though. Also, in my opinion, all modern mustangs (94 and up) need a spoiler.
I think the Bullitt is more popular because it is more rare, and that is the only reason.
you dont think a better driving experience comes into play when talking about Performance cars? I like the CS and infact it was the base car used for my old shelby GT but you are talking apples and oranges. This is which do you like better V6's or GT's. The bullitt might not have a two tone but it had a really kickass dash and a few details in the car.
And how much different can the driving experience be? we are only talking a 15 horsepower difference. That's a CAI and a tune...
And as to my question... what does that extra horsepower translate to in the real world?
My point is that this is basically only aesthetic differences, but I'm just curious as to how much faster the Bullitt is vs. a GT/CS or a GT

well my shelby gt had a cai and a tune and they have been shown to put around 30 more hp to the ground then tho they make only 15 more on paper. I think the suspension would be the big difference. I have found spring to add more fun then 20-35hp. You would find the difference in the corners. The real world fun to be found is in the corners and thats when the bullit would pull away.
I was thinking about it. Work is kinda in the way
Big R&D thing
