"We received ours today too"
The delivery guy just left and we now have our new SHR lower grill for our CalStang! Opened up the container (undamaged) and there it was in all of it's rich black beauty!! Of course the First Lady looks at it on the shop bench and said "That's all you got for your money honey"? After I stopped laughing, big mistake (info for you younger fellas)! Told her that it was an investment in beauty and in protection! Explained to her about the big air hole down under there etc. She looked down on CalStang nose and then said "It will stop stuff from going in there huh?" "Cool". And I said back to her. "Yes Dear"! And all was once again right with the universe here in our little part of Iowa! She really had no clue on this one, until I showed her the "AC" radiator fin damage we already had!
Leaving now for an area evening high school football game here tonight. So the install will have to be sometime Saturday morning. Guys and gals you are really going to love having this very nice new piece!! Thanks again to Marcello and the all of the great SHR Gang... CalStang P.S. Pixs to follow soon!

I made mine out of some honeycomb metal I found that matched the plastic pieces pretty close. While I was at it I made the brake cooling ducts and plate bracket as well.

"Grill Installed"
Plus One: On everything that data174 said! Got ours delivered here last Friday. But one of our sons David, who is serving in the USMC, arrived home here to us on that following Saturday morning. The CalStang could wait till later!
So there were many college football games, some great steak grilling, the Mrs. did her home cooking for him. Plus some brews together with his great friends around the deck firepit at night. We enjoyed all of this, while he was still home here with us!! Moving on!!
Well today pulled the car cover off of the CalStang and just popped in the new SHR GT/CS lower grill unit in! Piece of cake Gang. What the factory should have done from the beginning! Thanks again to Mr. Marcello and the whole SHR Crew! We Just love this new piece! And you will too!! A must have addition to your "California Special"! Pix! CalStang

Hey guys, I got a question for those who installed the piece already. I have my GT/CS front bumper at home but don't plan on adding it to the car till next year, around the spring time (by then, hopefully the Shelby lower fog lamps/brake duct kit will be available). I plan on painting the entire bumper Vista Blue, and have the stripes run down the entire front. Basically, where its black now, painted blue with stripes. What I wanted to ask, is when you installed the piece, did it rub the flat section of the unpainted part of the bumper? I only ask, just to check on any scratching issues while installing. I'm sure I could just use painters tape to protect the painted surface and remove once installed. Thanks for the heads up with my question.

I just checked mine and the new grille is suspended from the sides of the fascia. There is actually a few small fraction of an inch of gap between the new lower grill and the plastic "black" bottom fascia under it. It does not rub on mine, and therefore shouldn't rub on yours. I think your OK. I might add that it looks like it touches, you can't tell there's a gap until you touch it with your finger.

Hey I bet it would make a very nice cookie press as well not that I would because I'd have had to order two of them .
Maybe Ford should pay for them as it is protecting them from replace other videl organs that would be at thier expence.
