Question GT/CS front bumper w/stripes

Hi guys, just a bought a GT/CS bumper for my car and now it's time to paint it. Does anybody have pictures of the front bumper with stripes all the way down (including the middle section which is normally matte black)? I looked around for hours and couldn't find any examples. I'm just curious how this would look. Thanks!

This is what most people do with the stripes on a CS, I don't think I've seen any with the lower part painted.

Mizzard, its funny you ask. I have a GT/CS bumper in storage as well. I bought it last summer, but never got it painted yet (I still like the Classic Chin from CDC). I plan on doing the exact same thing, and paint the middle section blue and paint the stripes down all the way. Normally, I would have had it done by now, but work is slow, so nowhere near as much "mod money" to spend, with bills and such. Plus, I don't really want to put the bumper on until the Shelby GT lower brake duct inserts/PIAA fog lamp bezels are available for good. They originally came out, then got pushed back again due to quality concerns. And I really want to get a new hood (Cervini 67 style), and if I do this, I'll get the bumpers, hood and fenders all sprayed at the same time, to match up perfectly!

If you search on here, I know I either started a thread or added to the GT/CS thread. Its been almost 8 months since I posted it, but someone did post a picture of a white GT with the CS bumper and it was painted all the way across. Also, check out Google, and type in 2007 Shelby GT and click on "images". Originally, the S-GTs were to have the entire bumper painted body color, and at the last minute, they kept it black in the middle. But the eraly press photo cars, and test cars had the lower bumper painted white on the white/silver cars. That should give you an idea what it will look like.

Yeah, I'd like to get those bezels as well. Thing is, my car is at the repair shop because of an accident and I don't know whether I can wait for them to release those bezels, or just tell the mechanic to drill some holes. Btw, does anyone know exactly what PIAA lamps Shelby sells? Is there an equivalent lamp I can buy elsewhere? What is the diameter?

Hey thanks. I swear I've posted on this forum before, but it was a long time ago. Maybe post count gets wiped out after a long period of inactivity (or maybe I'm just mistaken.)

I've seen a few photos where the middle splitter is body colored. But I've yet to find one with body color and stripes. I may just have to photoshop it.

I plan on just lowering the rear, should keep the front up enough to clear any hazards

I've got the FRPP springs all the way around. I haven't had any problems yet, but I take it really easy in and out of driveways. I had an '88 Camaro that rubbed way more at stock height.

I live in an area where I scrape all the time, any lower and I think I will do some major damage. I try to watch it but sometimes its too late when the damage is done.

Sounds like the roads are a bummer in your neck of the woods.

From the street to the end of my lot is 150' and a 25' drop.
If it was not for the water we would not have any flat areas at all.

I know yours is a vert, but alot of our mods or future mods are very similar. I've got the Kooks with the catted-x and the Borla stingers. Exactly what you are planning. I'm planning on the aluminum DS, probably this spring. Although you've got the 3.73's and I went with the 4.10's. Are you planning ona centri blower someday? Or staying NA?

I have no idea. No dynos in Podunk, Texas. I'm a couple of hours from Houston though. The only real go mods I have are the C&L CAI with a 93 Octane Brenspeed tune, and the exhaust setup. I have been planning the blower for a year now. It's a garage queen I guess. Less than 6,000 miles in 1.5 years. When I do finally get the blower I'll get a dyno tune ASAP then I'll finally know my numbers.

Dougxox, I really like your PIAA fog lights on your front bumper. Did you do that by yourself? And also, I want to put GT/CS bumpers on my 08 GT. Are the bumpers lower than the stock GT ones?
