I'm curious....... Has anyone tried to order the FRPP (20 extra hp) on the GT/CS yet with Ford factory warranty included from a dealership? If so, how much trouble has the salseman had entering the code #'s for it on the order sheet, and what are the replies some of these salsemen have given you ???

 

dealer called today to tell me that my ragtop gt/cs was serialized this week. (ordered 6 june)

i asked about frpp. he told me this is handled by one of the after-market guys in the service dept -- not part of the order from ford. this 'expert' in question is on holiday thru the weekend. he did tell me that there is no impact to warranty as long as installed by dealer. there is '07 gt coupe on showroom floor with both hp and handling packages already installed and ready to roll.

 

I think that may be right, that the FRPPs are dealer installed items only, not
preordered with the factory build.

I also heard this back about a month ago from an 'expert' who has access to fords computer system. He just mentioned that he could order it through different code #'s that were a little hard to access. He would'nt get into detail at the time. He never mentioned the dealer install part, but that sounds logical to me.

I just wanted to see if his information was on the level, so I posted. I don't know why I would doubt him! He ordered in a new 2002 vert mustang with the 2001 "bullitt appearance package", and got it, through different code #'s. Your post just confirms his story, that it's available.
