I went in to Coastal Ford in Burnaby, BC to see how my CS order is coming I placed Aug. 15th. To my surprise I was told the order is in, but was not accepted yet by the factory so it will be 8 weeks after it gets accepted when-ever that is. I was told because the Canadian market is so small, and its a special item that's what the hold up is?? It's ok for me not to get the vert until the Spring I just hope I'm not getting the gears from the dealer. While I was there look what I found, a customer ordered GT for a cool $225,000 cdn and two Saleen's for about $70K each.

 

Those GT's are bad assed. If I could afford one i'd be afraid to drive it at those prices.

 

Love that yellow GT and the Saleen looks good also.

You ordered Aug 15 and it's now mid-Oct and you have another 8 weeks to go? Seems long to me - what special thing did you order on the GT/CS to make it so special? Otherwise, I think the dealer is dragging his feet a bit??

It looks like they have some black vertical bars inside the grill, I don't know if the American GT's had those.

 

Yes it does seem odd......I think I will go back tommorrow and get assurance from the manager that they are not trying to screw me just because the FFP leaves them with little profit.

 

I saw a Ford GT in Chilliwack BC on my way home today, sounded so nice

 

I thought I heard it was the rear bumper had to come out some to make it street leagle.

 

Ed, thats exactly what they did, I don't know where I got the idea of them changing the front bumper.

I wish I had taken photos of the GT at Lafayette Ford in Fayetteville NC when I picked my car up. It was one of the ones painted up in blue-and-orange Gulf livery.

 

Would'nt it be something if while on the dyno it did a Ferris Buller and launched without anybody in front that is ? notice I did Not say funny because then they would have to Fix-Or-Repair-Dyno see F-O-R-D does not always mean Fix-Or-Repair-Daily. I will stick up for Ford I have Never had one like that ever and thats a lond time.
