CS VIN Number

Are the CS identifiable by VIN#. I'm justa asking because the dealer I bought mine from had a hard time finding one exactly how I wanted it, and I have noticed that all the plastics (scoop, and skirts) have a tiny different shade of white.

Anyone else with a white 07 CD have similar problems.

The differnt shades may be just like on my 05 GT , my bumpers are just off , and reason I was told and makes sense is that the body is a differnt matterial than the bumpers , so that when the car is painted thats the way it looks ? Now the salesman that told me that had some great stuff or he's a real good BSttr , but it makes sense .

Nope, my white is perfect!

Did you get the window sticker with the CS order code?

The CS is a option package! no vin code!

Well, my point is that they shouldn't be off. My guess is that they used a dark primer and not enough coats of white.

Yup, it has the CS package in it. I was concerned because the dealer had a real hard time finding a White auto CS with all options. I was able to get every option for the exception of the Shaker 1000.

I run a Bulid Sheet and Look for an Item which is Specific to a Particular Model. On a Gt/Cs the Side Scoops are the Obvious Choice as they are Used only on a Gt/Cs. Other Things Could be Cross Referenced as they are Specifc to A model. Just requires a Little Product Info and Product Knowledge. The Seat Covers would also be a way to Cross Check.

EZ Deal!

But you can't see that unless you have access to the build sheet. I think the original question was more along the lines of "can you tell a GT/CS just by looking at the VIN", like you can with a GT500 (T88 for the coupe, isn't it?). At least that's how I interpreted it. If a normal buyer can get more info, like the build sheet, I'm all for it, they should know as much about their car as possible. It's just too bad Ford doesn't make it easier for us.

Thanks Kevin makes me feel so much better to go back into debt for the GT/CS right after my 05 GT was paid off. I guess it's a regisrated Vin # they know & I know. and If it's all Ford well it works for me.

OK here's one How does one really outline a vin number as to what everything means from every letter as well number positioning ? I see some GT/CS as having 1ZVFT
and some 1ZVHT
