Anyone else have a black gtcs where the rear bumper is flat black all the way around like the GT500, not just between the exhaust? I bought this car new in the summer of 07.

 

Never heard of that. Could have been bumped at the dealer? Or someone buying a black GT500 might have mentioned how they preferred the painted sides and a salesman had them switched to seal a deal.

 

Seems like a reasonable answer. What I've heard is that when the production line is rolling and they come up short of the correct part they grab the closest thing available to "keep the cars going out the door".

 

I just assumed after I bought it that it was how the bumpers were on black ones until I started looking at pictures or others. I actualy like it better how mine is on a black CS with the black stripes and all, I like the hidden features of satin black on gloss black. How are the black 07 Shelby GT's bumpers painted, like the CS or the GT500? When I bought mine it was in the show room next to a Shelby GT and I didn't really notice. I did like the CS interior much better and a whole lot better price though.

After making my last post I looked and 2007 black Shelby GT's I saw were painted like my rear bumper and white ones were like CS's.
