Another new guy
New to the forums, but not to Mustangs that is I just took delivery two days ago on a 2009 Vista Blue GT/CS with the white side stripes. It feels great to be back in a Mustang again, after having to sell the 1967 that my dad and I restored for my first car about 10 years ago.

Congrats on your new great ride!! Wondering if you would like to share some details of your sale. I've heard some crazy numbers lately, like almost 10K off sticker. When I purchased my GT/CS in July with rebates ($3500.00) and Xplan I wound up with over 6K off an 08.

Dustin: Welcome aboard Bro! Congrats on scoring one of the great GT/CS's before they are all gone! We too have also heard that the clearence pricing may have already started on the 2009 Mustangs? Was that true for you guys? We got our own 2007 after the 2008's had begun arriving. The folks that ordered ours had changed their minds and went with and automatic instead. So we lucked out and killed it in the price savings on getting our new GT/CS!! Wow! Did you happen see what the pricing is going be for a new loaded up 2010 GT? OMG! Be Happy!! CalStang

Hi Guys, thanks for the welcome.
No pictures yet, but I'll probably post some up in the next few days.
As for numbers, I looked all over my area for 2008s, but they were pretty much gone which was too bad since there was an exta $2000 here in rebates for the 08s. I came in about 5K under sticker for the 2009, which isn't too bad considering that it's almost exactly the car I wanted. Since I couldn't order an 09 anymore, that pretty much settled it for me. My deal was the advertised employee pricing, $500 customer cash, $500 college discount, and about another $350 in miscellaneous deals I was able to get. I could have got another $500 with Ford financing, but I just didn't want to mess with it since I had $$$ lined up already. I talked to a number of different dealers around here and they just wouldn't budge off of the employee pricing plus rebates, so I was pretty much stuck there.

I got a chance to take some pictures today. I'm no Ansel Adams, but they turned out OK. As you can see, we have some snow and ice. Lucky me, 2 days after I took delivery and we had an ice storm that still hasn't really melted away Oh well, it's supposed to be warm this weekend
