Talking Add 1 more GT/CS to Canada. Im moving!

That's right. I'm moving up to Vancouver in the summer for work. I'm leaving beautiful, sunny Southern California for Beautiful cloudy/rainy/snowy Vancouver,British Columbia.

Ill be working at a film studio up there for possibly a couple of years. Then see how thing go. So goodbye SoCal and hello Canada! If you see me fly by give me a honk and a wave.

You'll love it up there, except for the gas prices . It's just beautiful there in the summer . Make sure you cruise Trans Canada 1 to the "interior " as they call it up there . The drive through the Rockies is amazing ! Check out Kelona , BC ! Silverton is nice too .

I was born and raised in the Vancouver area. I live in Edmonton now. A lot of misguided people tell me that all it does in Vancouver is rain. Yes, Vancouver has rain but then there are a lot of very sunny days also. I am sure you will enjoy Vancouver, especially North Vancouver if that is were the film studio is. Welcome to Canada....eh!

Oh, I forgot hope you enjoy winter snow storms in April, never mind rain.

I've probably been to more major cities in Canada than here in the states, and I am from PA . But my ex was Canadian and we used to go there every chance we could to visit the family. She had family spread all over the country, from Pickle Lake , Ontario to Vernon, BC and everywhere in between ! What a beautiful country ! The people are nice too . Somewhat laid-back -- mild folks. Quite refreshing ! I have been to Edmonton a couple times as well as Red Deer and Calgary . But what I wanted to ask you was, How bad was the damage from the F-5 twister that went through there a few years back ? I saw sketchy reports down here and wondered if many were hurt or worse . I have fond memories of being there .

Im not misguided bro.. I have lived in Vancouver my entire life. I was just getting my opinion on how I perceive the weather here. Also those supposed "sunny days" if you were here last summer and saw how much it rained you would be complaining just like me. I said it was a gorgeuos place, but the rain is killing me right now. Vancouver isone of the rainiest cities in Canada and NA. It averages almost 1300mm of rain a year. However when the summer comes pure bliss.

I failed to mention that my girlfriend lives in Vancouver, so I'm well aware of all the rain up there. I've been up there and for the most part it's been nice, some rain and a bit of snow. I drooled at all the beautiful snow on Whistler last winter.

I guess I'll just try and get used to it. Although summers are pretty nice up there. So I'll be up there just in time for summer. You cant beat the nice rivers up there.

Keep me posted on the cruise date and definitely on the Langley show.

Keep a look out for me. I'll be the only GT/CS in Canada with California plates
I also have the Shelby grille to stand out a bit more.

Long distance relationships...Ouch..Been there done that. I'm in Oregon, my ex was in Toronto. She also was in Vanc for awhile (flight attendant), so it wasnt as bad, but man the plane tickets got expensive.

I was staioned at Blaine AFS when I was in the Air Force years ago and loved going up to Vancouver and over to Victoria. You will also want to get up to Hope BC. It was one of the best times when I was there. You will enjoy it!

Thanks for the sentiment bro, but its not that bad she is only like a 15-20min drive away. Plus she always comes over so I save on miles lol. I see what your saying though I ifnd it hard enough as it is, being in your situation would be really hard. By hard I mean it sucks bizallz and is a hassle. lol

Heck yes it gets expensive and not only that, it's tough to trust one another, you know? Not really that I have any doubts in trusting her it just gets difficult to keep your head afloat when youre 1500 miles apart.
