No, heated seats didn't become an option until '07MY. I do have IUP though.

Heated seats ? my experience with leather is that if you are warm and are wearing a dark sweat pant or blue jean that the dyes tend to get sucked into the leather then its a real BUGGER to clean , si=o now seats with heater will or may be worse, I'd get a bottom seat cover or something to protact it. my 4.5 cent opinion.

Hmmm I wonder if the IUP, AAT, and Shaker 500/1000 are required for the 40R battery?

In all the documentation from Ford I've ever read about the AAT is that the car gets a bigger battery with the AAT. no mention of batteries for other options on the car, I think the assembly line worker must have still been hungover from the weekend and dropped the wrong battery in. It would be pretty easy to do, they look almost identical.

Gee whiz, mine is a 2006 Deluxe with IUP and AAT and I have it. Do you think the '07s are skimping on something else now?
I think theedge67 is right.

steeltownstang has the IUP on his 2007 along with the Shaker and AAT, but he also has a 96R.
I guess it is a luck of the draw thing.

I definitely think ford cuts corners. Their option packages are ridiculously confusing sometimes as well. The Comfort Pack says on the sticker
-Heated seats but fail to tell you of two other items that pack comes with, IE electrochromic mirror with compass. The fact that this mirror isn't standard, esp on GTs, is behind the times in my opinion.

Putting a crappy battery in is a similar problem. Thats what you pay for though. In quality, you won't be getting japanese or german. You won't pay those prices though either.

I agree. I wish they offered the components separately. I would love to have a Trip Computer, MyColor, and Homelink control unit but they are only offered as either: packages or DIO (Homelink $400 mirror). What happened to a simple Homelink clicker integrated into the visor? I finally have a garage door and Homelink isn't even a factory option

The mirror not being standard is a safety feature because they know some people will race these cars. A mirror hanging from a wire in a wreck is a weapon. I have the scars to prove it.

Active Anti-Theft. It's an optional feature different from the PATS key system that is standard on all Stangs.

Hmmm so they're getting a 590 CCA 96R for MY 08? That means we can get a replacement in the future (when the current battery dies).

metro - just wanted to follow-up on your question...I was looking at my battery tray the other night (96r) and there are a couple of plastic "spacers" in each end of the tray that look like they are there so Ford can easily remove them to fit in a larger battery......
