3.55 axle ratio help??

Is this optional for automatics and standard for manual??.....or is it optional for manual as well??....I'm still waiting for a vin# for my gt/cs....but for some reason, i assumed the gt/cs came with the 3.55's but browsing through the 2007 order guide, i don't see the 3.55's standard on anything!!...So i just want to confirm, what gears did you get with your cali special,3.55's or 3.31's....and if 3.55's, did you ask for them?

Thanx

I assume the Mustang comes standard with 3.31 in 2007. You need to ask for the 3.55 option...I understand it is $100 more...

Check with your dealer...You can still add them if you are not serialized...

All the Mustangs now come with 3.31.
The 3.55 is an option for the manuals.
Order code 455 is the 3.55 axle.
You need to have order code 455 to get the 3.55 gears no matter what.

What?!? It's the same axle, just different gears in the rear end. Same weight. Where did you get this from?

Hey guys, I didn't know it but when i went by my dealer yesterday, i found that the U.S. and Canadian order guides are alittle different....The Canadian guide shows 3.55's standard on GT Manual Trannys only and 3.31's for everything else....We even tried to add the order code (455) to my order and nothing came up in the system....That seems to be the only differance between U.S. and Canadian guides.

The Canadian build and price does not list the option.
Now we know it's an EPA thing.

If you ordered from a Canadian Ford dealer - I believe it's still standard on the manual.....
