OK I just talked to someone at Ford. She looked up my info by a referance # they gave me. The figures are for the coupes only not verts. Out of 37003 GT coupes 4988 GT/CS coupes were made in 2008. If someone with a vert request this info with their vin# they may give the production #s so we can total them.

It looks like the total production numbers are out now from our friend Paul Newitt from the californiaspecial.com site. The total for 2008 was 7,417 he is creating a sticker for the cars like he did for the 2007 models this should be available soon. Here is a sneek preview of the sticker.
I really like that Car on the Sticker for Some reason!

It blows my mind that in this age of computers and instant infomation that Ford can't tell every last detail of their cars. A couple of keystrokes should be all it takes. No wonder they are all hurting. They are sending me a build sheet however.

New update from Paul
Just today, I got a revised production number for the 2007 GT/CS, and a new number for the 2008s. These are convertible and coupe models combined. (the breakdown on these numbers will be in my book).
The 2007 GT/CS Production number (you heard it here first) is: 8519.
The total production number for the 2008 GT/CS is:7427
People that bought the 2007 decals with the previous production number can return those decals and receive a new, correct one if you send me an SASE with $1 to cover costs. New decals for 2007 and 2008 can be bought for $10 each from me at: Paul M. Newitt, P.O. Box 2245, Davis, CA 95617.

Well the story continues... I have recieved a couple emails from member says that Ford has send them production numbers for their 2008 GT/CS Mustangs. Here is what I was sent.
1st member emailed me this total 7,362 for 2008
2nd member from Canada sent me this about his 2008 GT/CS Convertible that he received from Ford.
The answer I got is: In 2008,
2847 Mustang Convertibles.
1386 V6 (Body code T84)
1461 GT's (Body code T85)
337 GT/CS (Pkg <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com
ffice:smarttags" /><st1:metricconverter ProductID="54C" w:st="on">54C</st1:metricconverter> 85X)
34 GT/CS Vista Blue (G9)
5 GT/CS <st1
lace w:st="on">Vista</st1lace> Blue - parchment/black int. (MC)
2 with black cloth roof top (CA)
I also sent a email to Ford about this but I am still waiting on an answer from them so now I am curious to see what the tell me.
