Cool Very nice spoiler delete!!

Wow! Nothing prettier than a brand spankin GT/CS!! Is this the new Candy Apple Red? Hope that 2&2 sees this thread, as he is now deciding on his 2008 GT/CS color choice! Remember "The Water Boy". "You Can Do It"!!

Get rid of the stripe, put on the FRPP suspension and you have a Shelby GT :-)

Slap a side scoop delete option on that sucker and I'm there. I love the GT/CS front fascia and even the stripe package (I actually really, really love the stripe package), but the side scoops just aren't me...at least not on the S197.

Cool Side Scoops?

Interesting comments on the side scoops? When we saw the very first promo. pictures of the GT/CS, I thought the side scoops looked a little lame and too fat. Then when we saw our first GT/CS on the lot, looked at it from every angle, up and down and thought Hmmm? Then I did the Mustang historical research on their use for the last forty years or so on Shelbys, the original GT/CS's and other models etc. We then saw the side scoops with new eyes! This was like watching old John Wayne movies and then a new cowboy shows up. Of course he's wearing a big cowboy hat, just like cowboys always have! When we got our own "CalStang" this year, the side scoops were one of my very favorite Stang heiritage things on it. They just really scream history and special model! And funny thing is, when we are out there showing the "CalStang" at shows and at displays, someone always comes up and says "Love those Mustang side scoops". Go figure?

Thanks for the pics Sean!

Mine is sitting on a railcar on the other side of town waiting to be off loaded!

But, those pics remind me that it's worth the wait!

I don't have a problem with side scoops on the first gen cars, in fact I rather like them. IMO the S197 just doesn't wear them well, which seems a bit odd to me given the similar appearance of that model to the early cars. Perhaps the problem for me is the design of these particular scoops. Or maybe the slightly more slab sided appearance of the new model just doesn't lend itself to the application of the same.

Either way, I love the rest of the car.

Did you order the car with spoiler delete, or was it just on the car lot that way? I have tried to build a spoiler delete on ford.com website, and it does not let you build it. Just kind of wonder if it was a dealer swap similar to calstangs fanblades. I know it would be tabu to change a GT/CS, but I would sure love the ducktail spoiler ala the 68'. I still want to see the new red and vist blue. Had no time this weekend.

**** there is something about that, that I really like. I'm still not a big fan of the fanblades, but overall I think your setup looks sweet.

So since you have FRPP WARRANTIED. I havent asked this before, but if you put an aftermarket CAI (steeda, K&N, etc) on, is your warranty void?

Not sure if you are talking to me or not, as topnotch's ride is pretty sweet looking too...

My FRPP warranty is only on the parts they installed, the FR3, etc. A CAI etc. would be different. I don't think it voids the warranty, but if the part causes a problem with the engine etc., then the repairs would not be under warranty...
