When I ordered my 08 the total listed was $35,671.50. That is for a fully loaded 5spd coupe before rebates.

Nope, no vert. There was an $816.50 uplift for 08. Then you add the the new for 08 options it works out about right.

I paid 36K base for mine (1K rebate off that), but it came with a lot of extras even before I put in the aftermarket shop. I wonder about the price of the add-ons a lot, but the asking price was 38.5K. I guess I'll never know if I paid too much (and I sold cars from 18-23 years old). Add ons are the best way for a dealer to get you. However, its the exact car I was looking for. With TTL and the aftermarket adds, I spent a little over 50K to get my car up to 600+hp.

Being a former salesman and F&I guy for dealerships, I can tell you that the Mustang is a hard car to price out. There are so many different models and modifications that they can do to them that it is hard to get a handle on the true cost you need to get to in order to make a deal. FWIW, I would buy the car you want at the price you feel comfortable with. At least with this car.

KSguy73, looks like your 2008 is the only car I can really compare too since I've ordered an 08 as well. I'll be using the X-Plan so I hope to get quite a discount. I'm curious how you got Ford to fess up the price when you ordered your car. I've had mine on order since May 18th and the dealership here in Washington State tells me they have no prices yet... Thanks for the info... Marty

Marty...I ordered mine through military car sales on 20 May and they had all the prices when I ordered. I didn't get X-Plan but they did give me a $2500 rebate. I ordered pretty much all the options so hopefully this list will help you out.
Mustang GT Coupe - 27,230.00
2008 uplift - 816.50
Freight - 745.00
Delivery Point Processing - 250.00
3.55 axle - 100.00
Sirius - 195.00
Anti Theft - 325.00
IUP - 460.00
GT Appearance - 245.00
Wheel Locks - 50.00
HID Headlights - 495.00
DVD Navigation - 1995.00
Ambient Lighting - 295.00
Comfort Package - 575.00
California Special - 1895.00
Total - 35671.50
My prices were a little less for each option for buying through military car sales but these are what are listed as MSRP. Hope it helps.
