2007 GT/CS production numbers

I was cursing around the internet and found this unconfirmed rumor that a member of the blackmustangclub talked to a Ford rep. He stated that for 2007 there were only 3,159 GT/CS built and that Ford is no longer keeping track of production number as they have in the past. That would be interesting if it was true.

I would hope, out of customer loyalty, that Ford would be loyal to us as GT/CS owners to value us enough to keep record of our special model Mustang. After all, we spent extra [a lot extra in my opinion] for our cars and we value them even if they don't! A new thought! I just remembered, Ford Customer Relations owes me a call about a build sheet I requested. They said they would call back in 2 business days. That is tomorrow! Now I have more questions in behalf of our forum about our cars!

I tired that several time with the Customer Relations group they have no idea what I was talking about or they could not find that type of information about how many GT/CS were built. But I wish you luck with that.

I waited for Ford to call me. Then, finally on tuesday they called. They were having some kind of problems with their computor network being down the day before. But they were nice about my requests. Mainly, I wanted them to send a build sheet but they asked 'Is there anything else we can help you?' So I explained about the need for FOMOCO to please keep track of ,not only our GT/CS model, but also the Bullitt and other 'sub-models' under the mustang nameplate. I let them know that knowing how many of each units production numbers, has a lot to do with the intrinsic value' down the road' to us in this [and in any other] forum,- we being loyal customers. They were very understanding and said they are sending this request to a 'research dept.' for further development and that they would further contact me on aprox. 7-10 business days on the build sheet. Who knows if it might work?! The squeekiest wheel gets the most grease. Maybe if more people request this, we will get somewhere!!

3159 sounds WAY to low. I think the thread where you found that data now they agree it's much higher.

I heard somewhere that the GT/CS production numbers amounted to 5 percent of total mustang production. Just going off last year's production figures, what would that figure be 'cause I have no clue what the numbers were in 2007. And, to add, I don't recall who said 3159 , because to me , it sounds like it may have been a guess on their part. Besides,I know this 'Ford rep' sure wasn't me. I never worked for Ford, but I did work for GM [Buick/Chevrolet] for 36 years! I was always a Ford guy at heart.

Any Response yet?!?!

Has anyone gotten any type of information on this yet? I have also read the BMC forum stating the 3159 production numbers. Today, I found another forum saying that Ford made 8000+ (not sure of the exact number, was lett then 9000 but more the 8000) however, I CAN'T FIND AND VERIFIABLE INFORMATION. WTH is up with Ford on this? I also noticed that my GT/CS paperwork shows my GT/CS as a Mustang Prem with a CS upgrade package. I just know I haven't seen ANY other 07 GT/CS. Only 08 GT/CS and I have seen 3 of those already. I am trying to sell my GT/CS and I need to know if it truely is a Limited Production so that I can price it right. I Don't want a profit, I just want to get as close to what I owe on it as I can. Any help would be great appreciated.

As of today, Paul Newitt from the CaliforniaSpecial.com site states that there were 7653 CS's produced in 2007. He also has a window decal available with these production numbers on it.

no offense taken. I see that it was many years, didn’t really concern me. I simply made a reply to a post I saw that popped up. My 2007 is #3582 of 5915 coupes built and #649 of 1060 in Vista Blue.
Have a great day.
