2007 - 2009 GT/CS Certificates

Here is the lastest but not confirmed by John Clor from Ford Performance Group. A member emailed me last night to state that he called FPG and was told the certificates would be ready to purchase sometime in Feburary. So I called FPG today and was told the same thing, but I also emailed John Clor to confirm this and I am waiting for his reply. But I will not be provided with the data from the factory to sync up their database with my sooooo the search will still continue. The 2011 GT/CS certificates would not be available until the model year has completed so the new owners would have to wait until late 2011. Stay tune for information as I receive it.

Ron, first I would like to thank you for all your hard work on this, But I do have a question, what will be on the certificates and will this make the GT/CS part of the SVT program?

At this point I have no idea what the certificate will look like but I would assume it would be simular to the SVT Mustang certificate in format also I have not been told what the package of items that will be included in the package. The GT/CS is not part of the SVT program but the FPG group was looking for special edition cars for this program like the SHO,GT500,Bullit,Mach I,SVT Mustangs etc. So at this point I will keep you updated as details come out. I was contacted today by Chris Smith who is working with John Clor to help design the webpage for the FPG site. He will be searching though all the member gallery pages to get pictures for the site, so one of you may have a star GT/CS on the FPG site.

Lastest update from John

Here is the lastest information. I spoke to John a few minutes ago and here is what I am told. They are working on the website and it should be up next week maybe Tuesday or Wednesday. They have also pulled all the data from Ford Division and given the data to Mark Wilson the directing manager for the GT/CS project for him to look over and sign off on the numbers which again should be ready Tuesday or so. There is a problem, the numbers Ford is pulling is only for Ford North American and the numbers will not include GT/CS's from Canada and any export GT/CS cars. John is not able to pull that information and try to ask his boss if it was possible and was told no. So once again stay tuned for more information next week perhaps in the next Ford Racing newsletter.

This is great news and without the help of all the members of the site this would not be possible.

Right now I don't have the prices or the contents of the package but I am sure you will get the certificate like the SVT Mustangs a breakdown by color but I am not sure what the 3rd item will be. The SVT Mustangs have a VIN decoder but in our cars case decoding the VIN will not show anything special.

From what I was told by John any car that was exported to Canada or other export countrys will not be able to purchase certificates since he was not able to get the export data from the Ford Division. If you bought the car in the US and had the car shipped to another country then you will be able to purchase the certificates.

Lastest update from John Clor

Here is the lastest email from John about the certificates. I sent my VIN to him to use as a protype certificate and here is some of the information that he sent me.

Hi, Ron!

We're waiting while having the GT/CS VIN data verified by the Ford program manager, Mark Wilson. We're also designing the new GC/CS certificate -- I'll keep you posted on our progress, and will run your VIN through the new system we're setting up.

VIN# 1ZVHT82H575229344 shows:

Production -- #1228
Coupe Prod. -- #898
Color (White) Prod. -- #249
Exterior: Performance White Clearcoat
Interior: Black / Parchment
5-speed manual trans

FYI -- We were asked NOT to do any Shelby GT, KR or SuperSnake certificates, as Shelby American wants to do those themselves. We DO offer the certificates (and even some window stickers) on the Shelby GT500s, as those are fully designed and produced by SVT and built by Ford.

Should have you club pages ready to go in only a few more days!

-- Best
