I'm going to be ordering my 08 CS next month but need some help deciding on color. I was hoping silver would be added as an 08 color but not such luck. I'm debating between Performance White and Vista Blue. The interior will be black/dove. I am going to remove the side stripes and add ralley stripes the same color as the dove inserts. I have a good idea how the PW would look with the stripes because of the Shelby GT but cannot seem to find any pictures of VB with dove colored stripes. I prefer VB but am not sure on how it would work with that combo. I'm guessing this combo doesn't work too well since I can't find any pics of it. Have any of you seen this and what is your opinion on the combo? Does anyone know where I can find a picture? Any help/opinions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

 

Jason, I too have been pondering the color choice myself. I'm going to order a 2008 GT/CS tomorrow (5/18) and I'm leaning towards the Dark Candy Apple Red. I really like the Visa Blue but that is so popular I'd like to be different. Now, with that said, I love a silver car but I can't bring myself to ordering the Vapor Silver! So, Dark Candy Apple Red it shall be... Good Luck, Marty

I too was hoping for a silver GT/CS, but I ordered a silver GT instead.

 

I would have a lot of trepidations about ordering a new color sight unseen. Photos do not tell the whole story and neither does a sample. You really need to see a Mustang in that color in person to avoid getting an unpleasant surprise later. If you're interested in the new colors, I would definitely wait until they're out and you can have a look before ordering it.

 

The Candy Apple can best be discribed as Redfire Metallic with out the metallic and twice the clear coat.

It has to be the "deepest" red, deep as in depth of paint color under clear, that I have seen this side of House of Color Custom paint.

I have not seen any of the other colors available for '08

The Candy Apple sounds awesome but I agree about not ordering a color sight unseen. I am stationed overseas right now and have to order the car here shortly to have it waiting for me when I get back to the states so I don't really have the option of waiting to see the new colors in person. I was just looking over the 08 order guide again and noticed something I missed before. On page 10 it lists Silver Clearcoat Metallic under the GT/CS but only shows "A/P" under dark charcoal interior. Does this mean there will be a silver GT/CS but with only solid charcoal color interior? Am I reading this right? Would be great if I was. Thanks again for all the help.

 

That silver is for the mustang sally edition not the GT/CS

I made the same mistake and got excited only to have my hopes quickly dashed.

 

Kind of partial to performance white as "the" color of choice...hmmm don't know why.... LOL

Thanks for all the input It was a tough decision. Lost a few nights sleep going back and for between PW and VB. In the end VB won out for me but they both look awesome!!!
