Factory Black Strips

Hello All,

I’m about to place my order for a 07 and am wondering how many of you got the strips from the factory? I’ve yet to see any striped Mustangs on the road or at any dealer. Everything I’ve seen so far are, aftermarket or white on a GT500. I’d love to see what factory black strips on a grabber GT look like to help me decide.

Thanks,
Wayne

Looks good, any back pictures? How far down the back do the strips go and I assume they are on the spoiler. I had an autobody shop spray my bike with clearcoat after putting some stickers on my bike (86 VFR 750R). The cost was low. I guess this would apply too.

Thanks
Wayne

I do not like the factory stripes for two reasons;

1. They do not go over the front and rear bumpers.
2. They are only 10" wide. Too narrow in my opinion.

Just my opinion. I would order the car without stripes.

Order stripes from the aftermarket or have them custom painted. They look much better.

I was getting a Vista Blue GT coupe but have changed to Grabber Orange, my first choice. I'm deciding whether or not to get the factory stripes (47A). I'm ordering this week. I hope the 18" polished wheels (64W) and manual trans don't hold up delivery too long. I wish Ford had 18" black Bullitt wheels as an option.

Wayne,

While the factory stripes are fine, most (not all) feel aftermarket stripes are less expensive and look better in that they go all the way down over the bumpers on both ends. The factory stripes stop at the 3rd brake light in the back.

Here's a rear end shot for ya. They are not on the spoiler. It comes down to personal taste and what you want for your car. In the end, have fun and enjoy!

You might consider just getting the stock factory rims. If you're thinking about the 18" black bullitts now, you'll probably want them even more later. The Ford ones are very nice, but you can get aftermarket 18" black bullitts for almost 1/2 the price, and have the option of getting deep dish rims also.

I thought about getting the 17" rims but I'd rather have a set of spare 18" polished. I think I'm going to order with th3 spoiler delete option (13D). I'm going to put on a Roush wing anyway. This site is great. I whish there was one for my other toy, a 91 Lotus Elan.

Thanks,
Wayne

Couple different angles. I no longer have the lower rocker panel stripes or black rockers.

DUHT!
I went the route of getting the 18" polished, so that the tires could just be changed to my Ford 18" black bullits. I guess you're saying that was the expensive route? (I didn't want deep dish anyway, and I like the OEM feel of having a Ford rim on the car)

Looks great! Saving cash on the rubber is always good. The 18" Ford black bullitt rims are very clean looking... I love em!
