Black gunk up front???

Hey all...any of you guys have a black "film" that shows up on your front bumper under the grill and headlights? It doesn't matter how many times I wash my car, the crap keeps coming back. Even with a high pressure wand it stays there, but wipes away easily with my hand. I'm tired of "hand washing" my car like this....I just noticed it on the back bumper today as well. Is there something behind the bumper covers that could be doing it?

I used to get that oily sticky stuff on my 06GT and now this 07'GT. Who knows where that crapola comes from, but I don't think its the car doing.

Yup use to get that crud on the door and just behind the rear wheels. I never even though about the car causing this, I always though it was road gunk like a mix between asphalt, mud and oil. I would get it on the front of my car when it would show up on the sides as well, probably from the cars driving in front of me.

Two things though, you use a pressure wand on your car? You know those can make nasty swirlies in your paint right? Also how can you get tired of washing your car? I did not know that could happen .

LOL, when I said "hand washing" I meant physically scrubbing the bumpers with my bare hand at the carwash, lol...
