Anticipation

According to my dealer, my 2007 G.O. GT was produced on 11/10/2006 and shipped on 11/13/2006. He expects the car to arrive this Tuesday or Wednesday or the Friday after Thanksgiving.

I cant wait to take it for a ride and then start attaching all of the mods parts I have purchased over the last few months.

Eventhough its almost winter here, the leaves on the trees are gone and the grass is brown, my life will soon be filled with Grabber Orange!

Watch this thread for pictures of the car when it arrives and its transformation as I bolt on the mod parts.

Mark

The suspence is killing me...I love happy beginnings. Whats cool about this color is my garage looks orange when I turn on the light. You have a lot to look forward to,especially when you can't take your eyes off that color. Its very serious eye candy...yup, its better than chocolate

About the mods...denial is the best medicine

Mark, may you have total GO enlightenment by the end of the week. I think that folks around here are starting to get used to seeing the car, so I don't see as many "mouths opened pretty wide" anymore. But I get lots of smiles.

Pat, I have a question about your FRPP 3.73's. What is your understanding about the status of your powertrain warranty now that you have installed these? I purposely didn't do the 3.51's because I knew that I was going to toss them anyway. Eventually.

Also, when I looked at the Ford Racing web site, some of their packages stated coupe only. I wonder why that would be the case?

The warranty kick in on the 3:55's which went bad,I ask the dealership if they would install the FRPP 3:73's and that I would pay the difference, they agreed. It was great deal and one of the tech's had a service tool for recalibration for the speedo. The warranty is still in effect.
I'm not sure about the coupe status reguarding FRPP,maybe someone with a vert has the answer to that question.

Doubt it, as most are shipped by rail. Especially to PA where Safari lives...

Well...it did not arrive on Wednesday so that means the only orange I will see this Thanksgiving will be in my slice of pumpkin pie. ;-)

Hopefully it will be in on Friday. I wonder if the trucks deliver cars on Saturdays? Otherwise, if it does not arrive on Friday then I'm looking at Monday.

My right foot is getting itchy!

Mark,

Trust us. It is sooooo worth it, the wait. You will be in 7th heaven from the word go. You'll be looking out over that sea of orange (only a memory for me now... it's more like the 'Black Sea'...) and you will have a poop eatin' grin on your face from ear to ear.

But today, sadly, you must settle for a turkey eatin' grin. It's all good!

I hate to be bringing a frown to Grabbertown... but those guys are union, and I'm quite sure they do not deliver on Saturday. My advice? Fly somewhere today and rent a Hertz GT-H! (Like you could find one last minute like this...)

I think you are right. Does not look like I will see it on Saturaday.

I did talk to the ERL last night. She said my car was "on the ramp". So if it is not on a truck already it soon will be.

Looks like a Monday or Tuesday delivery is very possible. My dealer is looking forward to seeing this car too because mine is the first Grabber Orange they have ordered.
