Haha, a 500hp half ton truck and a 500hp RWD coupe are a whole lot more different than a RWD 500hp coupe compared to another RWD 500hp coupe.

Not when the new challenger is going to weigh over 4000lbs,..and the viper is a 2 seat sports car,not a 2dr. coupe!!... and it's alot less weight, and better handling and performance!!! Heck, they might even stop making the viper,as they are not selling as good as they use too....No difference,it's all the same!!!

They should be! The current 425 hp SRT 8 Charger just barely noses a Mustang GT stock for stock, it's a drivers race really. And it's lights out for the SRT 8 if it's against a Mustang GT with a tune and cold air intake.

This is based on what I've seen at my track. The 4,000+ lbs makes a HUGE difference, I would have never thunk it, and expected the SRT 8 to clean house. It did no better than a 13.9!

Now if the Challenger can somehow come in a thousand pounds lighter on the sam platform, then it get more interesting...but against a GT500...I don't think so.
